i dont get a jar file i get a random file that has a ion like a box. ive had jar files every mod ive done before but the last few days it dont let me open jars even though ive installed java.

On the bottom it says that you have to search on the taskbar "System Information" and find your system type (64 or 32) and then you have to download the correct link accordingly.

Ok but how do I change from new era to bloody Europe 2?

You dont need to change. You just do the same process for Bloody Europe 2. Because on PC if you don't have Steam and play the cracked AoH2, the mods (like New Era and BloodyEurope2) are essentially separate games.
