You might want to check the Tofalar brand of sleds from Russia. get some inspiration. there are very detailed videos online of the manufacturing process and about the functionality of every aspect of the design

On the groomer behind make the handle bars come off and this way if you wanted more weight put on some barbells for more weight then snap on the handle bars and the person would have something to hold on too! Just a thought.

Machine not really designed for how I am using it. Instead of just pulling sleds on flatter more open terrain , we are grooming single track trails with lots of tight corners and trees, side hills, etc and the overall top heaviness of the machine can be partially overcome with modified hitch and handlebars. Hope that makes sense

This is great! I just got my snowdog, and I am very much looking forward to modding mine. I would love a more in-depth look at how you outfited your snow dog sled with the trailer style mounting hitch.

take a closer look at the videos, really simple design, kind of engineered as I went, using materials at hand, same with moving handlebars forward, I can send you the link to the video I had followed

kzbin.info/www/bejne/jWS5lpt5obN-d9Ue this is the original video I found and followed. On the sled, I just cut off the old hitch leaving enough to bolt on square aluminum tubing across the front of the sled, then had a friend weld a simple T in the tubing to make the hitch
