Such a cool tune. I wish they would release a full score for the magnum series. Some great music through the episodes.

Thank you so much for posting this. I'm baffled that UMG did not include it on their reissue CD years ago. It's a beautiful song, and Andy sings so romantically!

I can't hear this song without visualizing it as the big villain song in some musical where the villain is trying to break up the hero and his love interest (for nefarious reasons, of course). And now I want to see this non-existent musical.

AAAAAAAAAWWW... happy lil ole lady here. My beloved Daddy's 78RPM of this, b/w "Beer Barrel Polka", by Will Glahe, was such a great comfort to me when he passed @ 78. Will Glahe must've been a hoot-n-holler to know. I was once, myself...👀...naw, really. Anyway, danke schoen, y'all.

Tony doesn't seem to be singing this with quite the same verve as he did when he performed it in The Big Store.

Thanks for posting this one. This is a very early one by the great Eddie Fisher. It is a piece of classical music by Johann Strauss to which words were added by Harry Akst, Benny Davis and Milton Ager, great songwriters from the 1920s through the 1960s. The music pops up at times as background music in documentaries.
