Getting the hand to the floor next to the ear is a brilliant detail... It prevents bottom guy from pushing elbow across the centerline to escape his leg trapped on shoulder... Subtle yet effective

As a Black Belt in Judo and trained this Kesa escape for years this works on all weights doesn't matter if you do the escape the correct way

Sounds like many a wrestler's nightmare. I've seen a lot of guys working to maintain head control and pressure. This looks like a good way to combat that style of grappling.
