That’s amazing to hear! Yes, it’s so free and it can be unpredictable. Getting that balance between abstraction and realism is tough. A bit of brushwork mixed with lots of palette knife work delivers the best results for me. Also, working fast helps me stay loose. A little tip: it’s OK to tighten up on a small area of your painting, this small detailed area could be done mainly with the brush - and it could be your focal point ☺️🎨

Yeah, funny because I just checked the painting and it’s dry, so probably about a week it took to become touch dry (very thick paint here) keep in mind I do leave in Greece and it’s quite warm over here still! I just let them sit in an area where there’s light, usually in my studio. You can add a fast-dryer to your paint mixes if you need to speed up the drying time! Hope that helps :)
