Fascinating. Your mention of how you learned old blues from the records reminds me of Rory Block's quite similar description of the same in her autobiography - playing the song over and over until she got it right. And now you can watch any number of lessons on KZbin - as well as the original video recordings. I found your comments quite interesting. Thank you for sharing.

What a night tor us all back then. Winter wandering around somewhere was allot to take in. My band and I have been playing the clubs of the northwest for years at that point and that was an exciting night to say the least.
