Such a deep, amazing, unique talent. I love her! I don't like her name, though. Why Grimes? Maybe bc it is like, gross, so you wanna check her out. She is beautiful, so the name doesn't fit her She is too deep for me, so wth do I know. Childhood trauma makes us grow in strange ways...bad but good?

Elon Musk can listen and talk to peoples thoughts that he have connected to the brain to his victims, and he have a way to look trough their eyes to spy on them as well as torturing them and he ask his victims to commit suicide if they are not strong psyched enough. He have killed two 12-year-old boys close to where I live and also 4 of my good friends by telling them to commit suicide in their heads. He have tortured me for atleast 4 years now and talked to my head. Now he have started to talk to a friend of mine too, he said he created a game for her in her head, same as he have said to me plenty of times. He slso can project 3D objects from a distance that looks real, like lasers coming from the windows so it looks like there is a shooter outside, and a samurai hanging outside from the window, as well as a 3D dog who jumped on the couch. He can also make sounds that comes from a distance and he can make it sound like he is someone else, sometimes of people who I know to mess with my head, he saves their tone to their voice and he use their saved voice as his own. Elon Musk went trough a horrible childhood and he thinks the way that the strongest is better than being weak. He says he have killed 200 already by telling kids and teenagers and all ages to commit suicide, and he knows how to technoloize the heart too, he made my heart pump so bad that it hurt around in the muscles close by. He always make my heart pound faster when I sleep because he says he like to listen to it, or it is to make me scared or both. He also have a way to make me sleepy by neuro technology. I am heavely tortured by him and he keeps killing people, it's not so long ago since he killed a 12 year old. Please demand Elon Musk to take a MR scan of his head and brain. It is urgent, I don't know how long I will be alive.

this song helped save my life. reading the lyrics to it back when i was super depr3ssed, 4norexic and extremely sulcidal helped me think ab the pain, the absolute heartbreak and the grief i'd leave all my close mates and relatives with and was definitely one of the reasons that made me reconsider doing it and eventually not. to this day it's one of my favourite songs ever and has got a very special place in my heart. thanks, c.

Grimes is like a musical and visual falling down the rabbit hole in an eye opening way to the curious. Her pushing the boundaries work, and even her DJ sets are endlessly fascinating. She's about my favourite artist and person of late.

This song is about the suicide of Grimes close friend David Peet, who died in 2008. They had planned to create a band together. Peet was one of the co-founders of "Lab Synthese" (which is where Claire Boucher started to experiment in music under the name "Grimes"). David believed in her and her music. So when Peet passed Claire felt like she needed to move forward with the Grimes project, and she then signed with the record label Arbutus.

Thanks for the back story. Makes the song hit hard. I too have lost friends to suicide. Nearly lost my life to drugs. Some people say she grew up with privilege and money. Even so , she knows the pain of loss. She's suffered seeing friends lost to drugs. Nothing really shields you from the tragedy in this world. And they say artists feel things more deeply than most.

@@colddaze6680 It's true her family had money. But for an extended period of time Claire (Grimes) she refused help from them and lived very lower class to live more extensively. To this day her toes are still damaged from frost bite when she hung out and performed in an abandoned warehouse in Canada. And at times she lived only on potatoes.

@@jameslatta6813 Heard something like that. Heard one side of her story that her parents cut her off for a while after she dropped out of university, to focus on music. Either way, respect her for going her own way, and suffering , existing like a lower class person for a while before making her own money again. At least she now knows how the other half lives, which most that come from money never do, or even care to think about.

This is one of my favorite Grimes songs very dear to my heart. I lost many loved ones in a short period of time, but especially to the man that was my best friend who we knew each other mentally, spiritually everything even with hard times we went through and with things unsaid suddenly he died I was devastated.
