Very cool! No Super Mario RPG though? The number of games for the Nintendo Switch is incredible. I can remember when the Nintendo 64 had only two launch games back in 1996. It’s truly a different world now.

13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim has one of the most well thought out and best stories I've ever seen in a game. However, the story is very convoluted, so you shouldn't take long breaks to be able to follow the plot. In a way, it's a visual novel, but you can control the characters and there are also tactical battles against robots.

I did watch this long! It was great! Amazing collection~ Only bit of criticism I can give is the audio being low.

as a fellow girl gamer who got into gaming in 2020 with animal crossing and stardew valley I want to tell you: Dark Souls can be absolutely for you! Its not even hard per se, its fair and highly rewarding, it became my favorite game of all time. you should give it a try even though its hard to get over the “this isnt for me”, which i thought as well. But you might fall in love with it. the progression and rewards and leveling your character is just extremely satisfying

In order to get the true ending of the game you got to replay the game. You should also check out the Blue Reflection Ray Anime. And the first Blue Reflection and Blue Reflection Sun games. You'll get more clarification to the story in Tie, Second Light by charging through the rest of the series. Hiori Hirahara, Mio Hirahara and Uta Komagawa explain more about their backstories in the Anime. Plus Hinako Shirai, Yuzu & Lime explain more about their backstories as well in the first game. Including the Sephirot that she mentioned in the game. The rest of the series is a definite must check out.

Fire Emblem: Three Hopes is a direct follow-up story-wise to Three Houses, but it's also a Warriors game rather than a strategy RPG, so you might want to skip if that's not your thing. It seems like you enjoy visual novels, so I would go with Three Houses over Engage, as that game has a lot more story and relationship focus, I think. Based on your taste, if you don't like Three Houses, I don't think you'd like Engage. Hope that's helpful! :)

I was looking for Christmas presents and I remembered this game from the DS lite days. However reading the reviews it was apparently not as good as the original. I went with the digital copy for Lil gator that you recommended some time ago! The price of the physical copy for Lil gator is insane!

I love an internet rando waffling on about their own personal preferences!! I have similar opinions as you for most of these games tbh!! Palworld def wasn't for me and while I LOVE watching other people play Firewatch, I didn't really like playing it myself. BUT, even though I haven't played Potion Permit, I'm a BIG farm sim girlie so I will always advocate for the cause 🤣 Obvi if you don't enjoy them, don't push yourself to play something that isn't fun! But if you're open to trying more, I'd recommend Fields of Mistria if you haven't yet! It's got similar vibes to Stardew but with a magical twist, which really jives with my brain. It's cozy and is easy for me to play for 10 minutes or for 5 hours lol It was great to hear your thoughts on these, thanks for sharing!

There is a difference between worst game of the year and Games I did not enjoy. It's fairly obvious why because one should be literally unplayable and the other not fitting your expectations and filling the needs of another player type. Like Golem for example is an absolutely terrible game it really could not appeal to anyone unless the are some sort of masochist or fitting the camp of it's sooo bad it's good like old Kung Fu movies. (it didnt do this because it was so bugged and unplayable it was removed shortly after release) You are free to say what you like about preference I actually prefer this because it's not easy to do. It's a brave thing to do but you need to be more clear when you do it to avoid miscategorising it and landing yourself in a trap. I should probably tell you also right now Palworld is one of the most talked about games on the entire platform due to a massive lawsuit coming from Nintendo that threatens gaming as a whole because of patenting ridiculousness. This is a global east vs west scandal of a story lol.

Every gamer will have a different opinion on what an enjoyable game is. You must decide for yourself what is a good game for you because having fun is the only thing that truly matters. Personally, I don't have any real favourite games but I do lean towards games that involve building, crafting and gathering resources, but sometimes I just need to blow stuff up because I am having a bad day.
