Yèah many thanks J Mac!!!....I 'm addicted to this awesome radioshow and its characters ..all these great actors ...and not to forget all the great solid storylines many of them written by John Meston. I simply cann't get out of 'the Matt, Kitty, Chester and Doc' Dodge City. Almost every story tells about 'real life' and 3-D people. And full of humour too. 480 episodes of The Gunsmoke Radio Show.....what else?!!

That's probably the darkest episode in the history of the radio series.
@cdigrobtsКүн бұрын
No, there are several others that are much darker than this. but it was a good one very gritty and that’s what I like about gunsmoke not all of their episodes. Have a happy ending. This was real life.

I grew up watching Gun smoke. I'm 71 years old. There's only one episode I hadn't seen. It had James Arnes's real daughter, Jennifer, in it.

GUNSMOKE had so many shows with downbeat endings. No wonder they couldn't get sponsors. Best radio drama of all - time.
@jmac5755 Жыл бұрын
I guess that is why the show was considered an adult drama.

I like that sweet little next door neighbor lady. I saw just the opposite kind of a lady that was in that movie I was talking about it my comment about that other movie. The cleaning lady found him and she could hardly wait to get out of the house to spread all of the gory details around. How the man’s brains were scattered all over the wall behind him, etc. She was sickening telling about it. 🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢

I saw a movie where 4 kids killed their father just like that. They did it because they were jealous of him because their mother and he loved each other and they wanted their mother all to themselves. And didn’t I just see Fess Parker talking to Jack Webb? 😅😅😅😅

Great episode, up to the ridiculous "full confession" blurted out by the "possible suspect" almost as soon as he walked into the room. Just so implausible!

This is proof, if you need it, that there were already strange killers in California back on the Release date of this one: March 4, 1954 I thought you would include this in your 'description' of the show: 👉Keep your eyes open as you watch this one, as Fess Parker and Dennis Weaver (two popular 1950s-60s actors) make small appearances as police officers.

I wonder what Jack Webb looked like in 1949. His voice sounds younger in the radio version. I only know him from the 60s incarnation of the TV show.
