The hemming gum is in between the base fabric and the intercepting straps. The hemming tape seals the crisscross pattern and the base fabric.

Rule 1: (For skirt) use a flat surface. (For bodice) use dress or body form. Step 1: Lay multiple hemming tape cut in pieces on the base fabric. Use steam iron on it.( 5” away) Iron your strap(tulle) on fold. Ironing makes the creases tight and gives sharp lines.
