FYI, just about any sewing repair shop can easily repair/replace zippers.

I have had mine for about seven years and it looks like new with great materials and build. Mine is unlined and I would hardly call it warm or windproof so I always use a couple of thick layers underneath. OK the design is traditional but is capable of improvements which would not affect the look. First the overlap at the front is tiny and lets in cold wind. An extra couple of inches on the under flap would help. Next the sleeves are more like a shirt than a jacket why the gap above the cuff/ Makes no sense to me unless worn in warm weather so you can roll them up. Am I glad I got it ? On balance yes for the experience. If it was stolen would I replace it? No way as there are better traditional options. I think it is overpriced by about 50% which does not help.

Just found and subscribed to your channel last night. I’d been in the market for a mackinaw cruiser and watched about every video on KZbin about them. Anyway I stumbled on your review last night and went ahead and ordered one second hand after seeing it. Ended up watching a few more of your videos before bed. How long did you hang before butchering? What temp?

I hang meat for 3 days max just at whatever the temp is outside

You will be credited for inventing the grouse pocket. I had no idea that back pocket was so spacious. Greetings from Seattle! I just acquired a vintage Filson Double Mackinaw Cruiser. It has double layers of wool in the sleeves and shoulder (in the form of a cape). Super cozy.

Thanks for making this. All the other videos I found are basically just a Filson commercial and don't talk about how it actually performs in cold weather.
