@skracing17Ай бұрын
The post on your right is a great brake marker. You'll want to brake just before it and have your kart positioned near it. You also don't want to use max braking force. Try to use 75% brake pressure. It is a tricky corner that usually gives you a poor exit.

Sometimes I am very light on the brakes. Turn 8, about 50% brake pressure. I brake enough to get the kart to rotate then manage throttle to the apex then full throttle. Stabbing the brakes to get rotation works too but at a slower speed.

Im going to this track this Friday,and I wanted to ask if you have any brake points and if you could tell me when you normally brake.
@skracing177 ай бұрын
Hey there. I have a couple braking points. I only brake for 2 corners. The rest of the corners are either full throttle or you are managing your throttle through the corner. Turn 3 (the new corner) I look for the post on the right side (near the overhead walkway. I brake when my front bumper is level with the post. So braking a little before until you feel comfortable is a good way to go. I also brake for turn 8 which is the left hander on the back straight. There are some cracks in the floor that go across the track. I'm braking in between the 2 cracks. They can be hard to see at first. Turn 6 (pit entry) you just need to lift off and turn in then get back on throttle.
@Educational_baby_videos7 ай бұрын
Do you have any braking points/ markers?
@skracing177 ай бұрын
I do have a couple. For the new corner on the front "straight"(turn 3), I am braking when my kart gets level with the post on the right. You need to be good on your brakes though or you'll easily lock up. Lift off throttle a kart length before the post and dial it in. Turn 6 (pit entry) is positioning your kart correctly (just left of center of track) and maybe light brake for half a second or just lift and get back on throttle at the apex. It's more of a feel the grip kind of corner. And then turn 8 on the back straight. There are 2 cracks in the concrete and go across the width of the track within 10 feet of the post at the apex. I brake in between and turn in at the 2nd crack.
