I use one of these for domestic also , close to boiler fittings , boilers changes , don’t have to wait for the pipes to cool , less mess , quicker to use than gas , less risk of fire , less smell, no flux , cleaner looking pipes , no more smoke alarms activating , and the fittings have really come down in price, if I do a full install I combine with plastic pipes to the rads , Still have my Gas & Flux though , 🙏

Yeah no problem. First 2 numbers are tool i.e. grips or pliers etc 3rd is style long nose or cutters 4th head finish chrome, Black or whatever else 5,6,7 are length such as 200 for 200mm then leters vde (electrical) and i think sb means without a box or very basic packaging. Hope that helps.

I'm a hobby knife sharpener / professional so these diamond plates are really good for profiling and removing a lot of material quickly but I wouldn't rely on them solely as you're only stone for sharpening, you're better off investing two or three hundred bucks it'll pay for itself eventually but for chipped or damaged blades that are very dull it's worth it.
@Jake-bt3fc
@Jake-bt3fc Ай бұрын
Yeah, it's common for cheap diamond stones to be contaminated with low grit diamonds, so on your 1200 grit diamond stone there will be a bunch of 300-600 grit impurities putting huge scratches in the blade when you're trying to polish it.

I regret I didn't buy it in Lidl when they had them in early 2020s. I think they were cheaper around £25-£30 bare, and then you add battery. I also like the idea of very lightweight tool that does the job. I have 20 volt version of it, which is a bit heavier but still quite light. I use it mostly for red and brown plugs, but a few times i used it with 1metre 10mm sds bit to drill through thick brick wall. Just be gentle and slow. And this 20 volt version is my favourite tool. I have heavier ones, 36volt Makita, 28volt Milwaukee, number of corded ones, but my little 20 volt Lidl is my favourite. I think when I get my hands on 12volt Parkside it will became my new favourite. Thanks for your video.

Most expensive thing i bought from ali was 20€ cyclone dust separator -and i love the bloody thing ,its well made it came with hose clamps,gasket,mounting hardware and a little template for drilling holes.For 20€ it works flawlessly nothing but a little bit of fine dust goes trough ,for 80€ i made my cyclone system out of parkside ash vacuum cleaner and car cleaning kit. Sometimes they do cheat ,once they sent me 20mm counterbore magnets that were supposed to be n52 but they are n35 ,yet everywhere in title it says n52.When you read description it says n 35 with small print.Still good for what i used them and they were cheap but dishonesty just sucks. . . Or when they write HSS tap and die tool and you get carbon steel. . .

I have the Todays Tools kit, I don’t have to replace awkward taps too often so for me, the Nerrad wasn’t worth the extra cost. Having used the fixed basin spanner’s, the spring loaded claw type and now the TT ones, the TT kit is way ahead of the others. I paid £40 for mine.

Ever given these a go on smaller basket sizes? I've got a load to do once we get all the brackets up. I'm debating on getting the straight 250mm cutters (they don't sell 250mm angled), but only if the cut is decent and easy enough for 100mm basket. Otherwise will pick up the 200mm cutters for dedicated screw duty!

Did you evaluate the scratch pattern they produce to see if there is any contamination from lower grits in the higher grit stones?
@mbtoolreviews
@mbtoolreviews 8 ай бұрын
No , I wasn't too worried about contamination as any residual grit or burrs should wash away with the lubricant . But even if it didn't, im not particularly fussed as long as my chisels come out sharp at the end.im still fairly new at sharpening, so that might be a bit more of a pro level question. Thanks for watching.
@Aexium
@Aexium 8 ай бұрын
@@mbtoolreviews sorry, I wasn't very clear. What I meant was that some cheap diamond stones, especially dual sided ones have grit contamination during their manufacturing process, where coarser particles will be embedded on the finer grit plates. You can see that with the scratch pattern basically remaining the same when you go up in grit. I am trying to get a real 1000 grit diamond stone, but I didn't see any review that looked into that and found a "true" 1000 stone
@mikafoxx2717
@mikafoxx2717 8 ай бұрын
@@Aexium I think that's mostly a problem with the dual sided ones, since they go through the same lines, so coarse particles get into the fine side. Always go for the single sided diamond grits. I'm going to give one of these a try just for fun and maybe a gift to my brother that bought a super steel knife without a good way to sharpen it. I'll grab a DMT Fine if this is toast, although I might just do it anyways.
