I am considering that, because motors functionality ceased to work in mine. Aftermarket Flat mounts are extremely expensive!!

I thought my motor was dead. Tried hitting the rest button but it wouldn't start. I eventually realized I wasn't pushing the reset button hard enough for it to click. Great video, glad I didn't hVe to do anything to mine yet

This was *exactly* the vid I've been looking for, for over a week. The question now is can I take that stupid stick off without opening up the dishy??! Why aren't others doing it this way? Are they just Dremel deprived?!
@diezmon8 ай бұрын
Glad you found it! I actually saw one other guy do it this way, which inspired me. This way is much better than the sloppy ragged edge you have to deal with when cutting 😀. Of course, They're making flat dishes now 🤦♂️
@AndiusPandius8 ай бұрын
Hi @diezmon do you think it's possible to separate the pole from the motors with it still in the dishy? You had the motors in the vice and prized it off with a screwdriver in the vid. Wondering if it's possible to "push" the motors out some how with a smaller pole inside the dishy pole. Would have to deal with the cable & connector 1st though.
@diezmon8 ай бұрын
@@AndiusPandiusI think it's probably possible. I remember it was really a pain trying to get that thing out without prying it with that screwdriver though. There's also a shroud over it that you can't remove until you take it out of that dish. That'll probably get in your way. You can see me slide that off once I have it cut apart

I have the exact table saw, saw ran very loud and would trip off when ripping hardwoods, replaced all the bearings and drive belt and still very loud. Noticed yours is very loud as well, was it like that from the time you bought it?
@diezmon11 ай бұрын
Yep. It's always been loud. It's always lacked a little oomph, and I have to go pretty slow with hard woods.

I have two Kato N Gauge EMD F7’s (an A and a B) with MRC Sound decoders in them. I’m using the MRC Tech 6 and walk around handheld to run them. Can you tell me if it’s possible to turn the sound up on these? At the present, the sound is very puny… Any help is greatly appreciated. Kind regards, Bruce
@diezmon Жыл бұрын
They are generally pretty quiet,. Compared to the better sound decoders. But There should be a setting to turn up the volume though. Sorry,. It's been a while

What speeds did you have before mounting it flat and what avg. speeds have you seen since posting?
@diezmon Жыл бұрын
It depends. I had some blockage/trees at home, so I'd see anywhere from 35-150Mbps. But once I was on the road I was seeing up to 300 👍
