I'm sure this'll go over like a fart in a tax haven, but Brother used to make some great Spyderco clones. They're still the only ones I know that did a p'kal clone, and their manix 2 xl was better than any legit ones I've handled. They made it with more of a non-caged ball lock (like on the Q-ball, poliwog and dodo) but it was oblong like a capsule instead of spherical.

I like the knife. Fits perfect in my front shirt pocket. Light enough for me not to notice. It's less intimidating than my ZT 0462 which I carry every day. It's a gentleman's knife and a great office knife. I've gotten compliments already. Now I carry three knives. Smooth sentinal in my shirt pocket, zt 0462 in my pants pocket and my multitool on my belt. Lol probably overkill

New subscriber here! I love my 812s! The Land 140 is another banger of a big knife. I picked up a g10 liner lock Fintiso a few weeks ago and it's good , but the screws are red loc-tited which is a pain in the neck. Lol, you just said "pack it" are you from Indiana? My Aunt is from Indiana and she "packs" things instead of carrying them. Have you ever checked out the SOG Altair XR? 3.2" .075" thick stock, 154cm, 1.9oz, mini full lenght steel liners, full flat grind, bearing action and .014 behind the edge. I'm not a big fan of SOG but it's a genuine Benchmade Bugout killer. Amazon has 'em on sale for Father's day.

I played around with a Longhouse at my local Bass Pro Shop. I really liked the design, it has a lot of potential, but the quality was just... not good. It felt like a $40 Walmart special Gerber.

That's the clone, right? How is it? I'm not a huge fan of the xm18 platform in general, but for ~$60 I wouldn't mind getting an idea of what the auto is like.

I would try to get the camera angle a little flatter if possible, it's a little disorienting at first, but I know it's hard to do this stuff while having to work around the camera. Great first look at this knife overall.. This knife caught my eye some time ago, I been trying to decide between it and the Kershaw Belair, but I can't find any other reviews of it on youtube, so thanks for doing this one. 👍🏾

"North Mountain Chop" sounds like a future plaintiff in the inevitable CTE lawsuit against Slapfight Championship. Ive been doing quite a bit of testing with SLD-Magic, and i really like it. It seems to be to D2 what XHP is to s30v. Im getting about 95% of the edge retention of D2 but easier to sharpen and with higher edge stability.

Definitely not my favorite design, but the price is right. I've been thinking about picking one up just to thin it out and do a convex zero grind. I like sld-magic quite a bit.
