I have a 2017 Sierra 4X4 80k with the 6.2. My transmission is doing the same exact thing. I’m torn on dropping the pan vs flushing it. Great video.

Mine is 2020 Colorado 4x4 V6 & 8 speed transmission this one shudders real bad with only 60,292 miles, I just bought this 1/14/25 test drive it over 20 miles with my sales man with no problem, started into some hills & it started with some small bumping ever so often, would this be the same thing? By the way thanks for the video very helpful so far.

Yes, sounds like the same thing so far. Hopefully, you can get it serviced with the Mobil1 fluid swap and buy some time

The issue we have is, it sounds like you're killing an elephant when the door goes to latch and then it makes the beeping...... the noise is coming from the rear of the van....would that be a pulley issue and not a motor issue?

Since the 9th gen V6 6AT starter is a common failure point, and I'm about to install the 2nd replacement in 93k miles, I'm going to try to replace my 9th gen V6 starter with one from a 2012 (8th gen) V6 Accord which is more robust. Your video is very detailed and will definitely get a few more views from me before I start the project. Thank you!

Hi Ryan, I am not certain about this, but If they aren't available thru GM or Gruven, then you might consider outside sources like Fastenal and/or Grainger.

Awesome video, my Pilot 2023 was lightning strike back on August, insurance and Honda have been back and forth with the issue, all systems were failing and now it's reduced to Rear gear isn't working. They will replace the Valve Body and try if it works. Hopefully it will. If not I'll comment. Nice videos thanks for sharing

To replace that clip I believe you'd have to replace the whole wiring connector (the new one would have to be rewired in). Depending on how easy to find or expensive that connector is, you may want to avoid replacing it all together. I find wiring connectors with broken tabs all the time and they tend to stay connected witout the tab. Or there may be a way to rig up some sort of tiny zip tie or wrap it in electrical tape. Hope that helps!

Honda Tech here...there is a TSB for this particular issue which involves doing 3x drain and fills of ATF in a row. By the third, you will have replaced all the fluid inside and should be bright red. There is also a software update available only at the dealership that fixes the electronic side of the issue. Torque Converters also go bad on these all the time and will throw a P0741 code if they are truly bad.

Thanks for the video and product recommendations. I’ve landed and 2-part epoxy in the past, but tried lots because of the high cost and limited shelf-life of the epoxies. The combo you used addresses both issues with these plastic (esp 15+ yo) panels: breaks and support.

Another reason to check the cabin air filter is rodents. I park near an oak tree and haven't been driving much. Decided to check it and found some chewed pleats and acorn parts in it.
