Ever feel that Snap on Baits techs into financial hardship? I mean the Truck man knows everyshop intimately he sells his tools at, and If you know the foreman tech is on a payment plan, maybe not get the new lube tech into $9000 debt? At least ask 6 times if that’s what the tech wants to do. My gen 2 US general box is nowhere as nice as some of the KRLs, but i got white castle money and gotta eat

I'm an industrial mechanic, my employer provides me with a complete set of Snap-On tools including the rolling box. 99% of the time I use my personal tools, Gear Wrench, Craftsman, Klien. I see no advantages with high priced tools.

Good luck getting all that for $17 now.

Not a "pro" wrench turner, but I do own a number of snap on tools... But none are traditional wrenches. I'm confused after looking at the open end of the "original flex drive" wrench, as it appears in the video to have the same parallel sides as found on a typical open end wrench. I'm obviously "missing the point" as there must be "something" that makes it unique in comparison that I didn't pick up from the video image...

I understand buying snap on tools. But the fucking tools box’s 😂. Any toolbox will do. It quite literally sits there.

The flank drive is what makes snap-on 12 point impact sockets so superior to any other 12point on the market.

I have a soft grip S.O. radiator hose removal tool, was wondering if the soft grip handle can be replaced with an old style ( mid 1990's) orange hard handle?

"DO NOT BUY STOLEN TOOLBOXES FROM MARKETPLACE" I notice a lot of hardly used toolboxes with brand new tools in them. I thought it would be a subject not to buy stolen or unfilled toolbox contracts.

That's overdoing it. What's next? Painting your fingernails to match your tools or add a lip stick or makeup. Come on now. Manly tools are meant to get dirty grime, not beautiful enough to take out on a date. You spend hundreds of dollars on tools only to add more money Painting them. That's crazy

Explain to me how 'flank-drive' is built into the open-end on a Pat. 3273430 combination wrench.... I don't believe it.

Snap On had its years , expensive but great tools ,I was an auto mechanic in 1975 and it was either that or MAC tools almost as good but less expensive. Today , Snap On prizes are way over, and tool brands are more and less expensive. Anyway they are very good.

Mechanics need to stop borrow money from the loan shark in the snappy truck. Use cash or a credit line from your bank.

I dared my snap on guy to touch my tool box. I told him you are more than welcome to sue me. But you think you're going to go into my box, take out the tools I bought from snap on because I owe 2200. Of a 6000 bill. So paid 3800. But they want to take everything. Give you shit for them. Like 600. So they get the tools, and still want paint 1600. Like I said I dared him to lay one finger on my box. Don't buy from snap on. Cornwell is the way to go if you need to finance tools. Because tools are expensive And people fall on hard times. I've only ever heard these awful horror stories about snap on. Not Matco or Mac or Cornwell. And yes people shouldn't buy things they can't afford. But not everyone knows about the snap on guy. I didn't 25 years ago when this happened to me. I didn't know when I financed that 3200, that my actual bill was 6000. Because of the enormous interest they charged. And don't let them repo anything from you.

I’m an American, and that really sucks, that American companies charge so much for a fuckin box as the same price of a preowned car. That’s stupid! techs lose money, distributors lose money and reputation because of repossessions. Snap on needs to get it together. I buy hands tools and stay away from financing from them.
