Im from the French Caribbean (St Barth) and i grew up listening to that song but i always thought it was from Gilles Dreu, a guy from mainland France. Who wrote that song? It is Gilles Dreu or someone else? Please let me know.

I just came across the closing concert of the 2013 song and dance festival on KZbin by chance. I was happy, touched and excited when I saw an old friend of mine at the 3:23 minute mark of the video. Extraordinary. I grew up watching and listening to the 'Misa Criolla'. This piece isn't just spiritual but your voices (singer) and amazing choir made justice. I wish it accompanied her from the beginning as the original. Their voices are amazing. Thanks for sharing. ❤
