Just discovered my Etsy account was hacked. I am not a seller but last thing I purchased was in august of 2023. I signed on and suddenly discovered 6 purchases made this year!! I did my research and the IP is generating from Jacksonville FL but the orders are going all over the US. It’s so random. Etsy doesn’t offer much in the way of hack support.

Etsy hasn’t responded to my request either. Literally the worst customer service of any company I’ve ever interacted with. Lost three months of income deposited into a fraudulent bank account. Etsy approved the change without proper verification.

Noooo, you don't TRASH everything; you DONATE to charity usable items (Edited to clarify: clothing, books, household tools) so others may find joy in your things, RECYCLE ♻️ things that have reached end of life but can be repurposed into new products, and TRASH 🗑 those items that are definitely not reusable or recyclable.

I don't think Marie Kondo talks about donating to charity in the book. Just following the technique. And while donating to Charity does sound like a good sentiment, a lot of the stuff you take to Goodwill ends up getting thrown away anyways. I would personally rather throw away my artwork and have it be sacrificed for a KZbin video, and then it to be withered away and rot at a discount goods store. I have pride in my artwork. By throwing artwork away in the video, that artwork has been viewed hundreds of thousands of times. It has been discussed in intellectual discourse over and over again. It has sparked lots of discussion. I stand by my decision to throw away the artwork in the trash. Call a work of performance art if you will. But thank you for your comment.

my account got hacked, but they just bought something..they put their address in, and name. which was kinda stupid. i'm glad they didn't use my card. but i was really confused. they also got into my AfterShip, and SHOP account. which was weird..so i'm just trying to figure out how to fix it..i'm glad i'm not the only one getting hacked..

Yes, my seller account was hacked last night. They uploaded a whole lot of stuff that I could not deactivate or delete. There's no way of calling etsy from the UK unless you want to call their center in California. Terrible customer care. Truly atrocious. When all this is over I shall never use etsy again for anything. They're really bad. 👎

I ran to the bank and moved all my money to another account and cancelled my overdraft facility straight away. Etsy have been no help at all. They are truly trash. Anyway, I sent emails to etsy telling them what's happened. When they feel like it, they might do something about it. In the meantime, even if the hackers get to my bank account there's only 81p in it. Not enough to buy a bar of chocolate. So sorry we've both been through this crap. It really isn't funny 😕

This is exactly what happened to me a few hours ago! The problem is, I am unable to cancel the orders. The only thing I was able to do is apologize to the other victims and tell them to contact their credit card companies and banks.
