I honestly don’t think there’s a single character death in all the thousands of books I’ve read that affects me as much as Rose. I want to cry every time. It just shreds me 💔 poor Martin.

Hello I'm 26 from Iran. I can't stop crying for such an ending... I watched Redwall for the first time when I was a kid, but just season one... but now I'm done... so sad....

I am an Indonesian. Just finished watching the series in KZbin yesterday. Truly, I needed to rewind the scene when Badrang killed her, because I wasn't sure if she was being stabbed. And for the rest of the episode, I still hope that she would come back to life.😢

growing up during the 1960s, and seeing great masterpieces like this make me forever grateful I lived when REAL music was played by REAL people, on REAL instruments, and they didn't talk they actually SANG. What a sad state music sank to these days. This song was incredible in every way.

Rose's death was the first time I witnessed the death of one of my favorite characters. I was heartbroken. And I made the mistake of watching the final episode on Christmas.

This ending caught me off guard. I balled my eyes out as a kid when I saw this episode. I never expected such a light-hearted show to have a bittersweet ending. There were character deaths here and there but they were mostly the villains or side characters and you felt like the main heroes were generally safe. Rose of Noonvales death still hurts to this day.

This is one of those songs, like Loreena McKennit's "Lady of Shalott" or Enya's "So I Could Find My Way", that goes straight to the tear ducts.

I started reading the book Gods and Generals in the summer last year. And reading the scene where Hancock’s wife was singing the song when Armistead and Hancock teared up broke my heart because two BFFs were forced to go to war against one another in a struggle that could’ve been avoided.

In my Redwall campaign the party was on their way to Noonvale and ran into polleekins old treehouse. There were a few vermin and a new mole living there. During dinner a dormouse/me sang this song. Gave myself all the feels 😢
