Personally, I prefer playing Burnout 1 on manual transmission. Once you get the hang of shift-timing and dodging oncoming traffic at the same time, you'll find that all of the cars have slightly faster top speeds.

Its quite comfortable to play. It can be a bit annoying to get PPSSPP running properly, but I thankfully fixed that all for LCS already. The only issue I have with this game through PPSSPP is that I cannot throw molotov's using the controller. I need to use the keyboard just for that. The button doesn't work properly otherwise.

That one is just annoying due to the PSP aiming, some people just staying hidden for the entire time AND the relatively short time limit. Then to kick you down even further, you can't see the map while scoped in so you just need to know where everyone is...

I replayed this recently on PS2 and for an early mission it was very tough - I found the zones where you need to aim the water aren't great and the time limit is quite short.
