I just bought this knife. I like how it looks. I've got a Tempest made by Masters Of Defense and it's very expensive and more of a collectors item. I'd rather carry a Kershaw to use for basic things such as opening packages since I'm not worried about the knife wearing down from use over time.

The Tempest is a good looking knife. Both knives look plenty durable but I would also feel better wearing out a Kershaw knife although I think it will take you a while. Kershaw are usually pretty durable. Thanks for sharing and taking the time to watch. Cheers.

@@thecanadianedge1 I just got it today and tried it out. It's as sharp as my Tempest knife and a lot sharper than my Kershaw Cryo. I like the Cryo, but it's about twice as loud when opening compared to the Kershaw Analyst. I like the stealthy opening of Kershaw Analyst. The clip is in a good position on the Kershaw Cryo and on the Kershaw Analyst it's a little annoying to have it where I try to grip the handle, but it's still okay.

I like the knife, but do people cary it around in that pouch? Put it in the pouch while they sleep? Or is it like a collector item that stays in the pouch?
@thecanadianedge1
@thecanadianedge1 Ай бұрын
Good question. The pouch is just for storing it when you are not carrying it. A lot of people collect the knives and if you don't have a display or storage case you can just store it in the pouch. It keeps it from getting all scuffed up in a drawer or tool box. If you are using it, you probably don't care if it gets scuffed up. Also I think companies throw them in so you feel like you are getting a little extra for your money. Thanks for asking and thanks for watching. Cheers.

The Cavalier is definitely slimmer and a bit smoother pivot action. It is more of a gentleman's knife and the Decatur is more of an everyday use. I'm a big fan of EDC but i dont like an "imposing" or "combat" style knife for out and about, all my tasks are cutting and very rarely piercing. The less attention i draw to myself using my tool the better. Came sharp, but not hair whittling, a few diamond plate sharpening and considerable stropping the edge can split hair.
