Were you, whoever is reading this, raised in SIN? Were you taught to write covetous letters to a fictional myth, hide and gather those eggs, and send cards of cupids love? A deeper walk on a narrower path is required of His followers. It could be had if the people forsake the world and turn to God by forsaking coveting, myths, fables, idols, traditions of men... be doers, not hearers... count the cost and follow the apostle's teachings... I challenge all come out and be that light and to study this entire list of scriptures: 2 Corinthians 6:15-18, Proverbs 2:1-5, Proverbs 14:11, Hebrews 3:15, 3:7, 4:7, Luke 4:1-13, 12:15-21 Malachi 2:2, Deuteronomy 11:26-28, 13:18, 15:5, Matthew 15:17-20, Romans 12:1 -2, 13:14, Romans 15:4, Jeremiah 10:1-4, Jeremiah 17:1-10, Mark 4:21-23, 7:6-9, Galatians 4:8-11, James 1:22-24, John 12:46-48, 1 Timothy 4:7-8,, 2 Timothy 4:1-4, Revelation 2:14, Revelation 18:2-5, Acts 17:30-31, Ephesians 5:5, Leviticus 26:18, I Peter 4:17, Christmas was simply a glorified birth announcement, Nowhere in the New Testament was his birth celebrated after the day of his birth by any disciple or apostle! Do you want Him as your father ... or the other guy? May it ever be Glory to the Lord...

@@jeffmcdowell4329 Yes, praise God for the predictions in the Old Testament, but we are no longer under the Law of Moses. Jesus said if we want to remember him, Do the Lord's Supper... He never instructed us to celebrate his birth, celebrate death not birth. We are horn blowers (Ezekiel 33) for Christ. We have this in common; we do not want to be held accountable for the souls of the uninformed for not sounding the alarm. This is why I share the word of God. He is jealous and that we are not to add to what is required in the New Testament by God. He tells us clearly to come out of the traditions of men, and such, and all that have roots in idolatry or he will not be our father. See 2 Cor. 6:15-18... it is very clear cut. The path is clear for those that have eyes to see. I am not trying to cause problems, only shine a light on scriptures that most have never seen, and should not avoid. When He returns will he find the faith? Or will he find it polluted? May God bless you for sharing what you do...

The author of It Is Well With My Soul had a wealthy business, a beautiful wife and kids. He lost his business in a fire along with one of his children. Not long after he lost his wife and the rest of his kids to death when they were traveling on a ship. It was after all this that he wrote this famous song! He claimed Romans 8:28. He knew the scripture of "consider it pure joy when you face trials of many kind". Are you going through a tough time? Are you hurting either physically, emotionally or even spiritually? Don't just say you're going to pray about it. Do it! Do it right now with us! We have many needs in our families, communities, and nation. As we pray, join us and pray too. Then sing loud and proclaim It IS Well With My Soul. God's got this!!!
