The scenes with Norn at school sound like they're in mid-April at the earliest, so she started as a 1st year student at the start of a new semester. Oh, right, Rudeus is now a second-year student.

Much of the screentime Norn would've had in season 1 was cut. Rudeus and Eris would've had a restaurant dinner with Paul and Norn, and they had a chance to reconnect. Norn was hostile throughout while Eris mellowed out. Father and son got to properly reconnect and Rudeus managed to have a date with Eris to pick out a dress for her (the same she wore on their night together). So instead of spending a week in Millishion and trying to reconcile with Norn, Rudeus and co. just left the next day after Rudeus reconciled with Paul.

2:58 honestly you did right with Zero first in my opinion, for much of the reasons you give, it is a better introduction. The original is very dated, I know some people will say this is heresy, but Fate 2006 is okay but not entirely necessary anymore, if they ever remake it, it could be done better, but the majority of the info you gleam from it is given in the others as well, and I am a huge Fate fan, loved 2006 when I watched it, but I will admit it is not the most needed anymore. If there were only 2 Fate shows to watch to get the majority of the story, Zero and UBW is the way to go. HF is hella fun if you enjoy it and want more, but after that jump right into the extended stuff if you want. To your comments on Archer growing on you, I won't use names for obvious reasons but yea I love Archer too, dude is my favorite Fate servant, followed very closely to this Lancer. Both are permanent slots on my Fate/GO team lol, I don't even care if Archer kinda sucks in FGO, Ive maxed them both out.

Norn living in the dorms wasn't a good idea because she sucks at communicating with other people. Aisha was already smart and able to handle herself to not go to school. In this world, not every person don’t have to go to school.

Glad you're one of the few reactors I've seen remember Norn is just a kid and I mean like a genuine little kid unlike Aisha who is extremely gifted for her age. Norn is the only normal kid of the family and the last thing she remembers Rudy doing was hurting her father that shit is trauma inducing for a kid her age she is really afraid of him and is a fairly normal reaction, and that's not even taking into account how she probably feels lesser to Aisha and not doing well in school.

Fore some missing stuff and context from the novels. thers a lot of stuff that happend at east port where Paul met Ruijerd again, hopefully we will see it next episode. Rudeus told all the story of what happend with Eris to Ruijerd, ED and all but Ruijerd's opinion was the same, "this must be a missunderstanding Eris really loved you" he was really sad to see Rudeus wit a diferent woman, and even Sylphie was worried she had made something to offend him, but being an adult Ruijerd understood that this things happend. In the Laplace war Badigady and his kingdom of Biegoya were Neutral, Ruijerd was the comander of Laplace Special forces, so yea... they have some history. Aisha did worked Ruijerd and Ginger to the bone, when she reallized how strong and rescistent Ruijerd was she made him work day and night as caravane guards with little sleep to travel the most eficient way posible, this did angerd Norne "dont work Ruijerd so hard you inconciderate jerk!" "ahh? Ruijerd can do this and more and we all want to arrive as fast as posible, you are the inconciderate one Norne!" Rudeus was very sorry that his bossy little sister was so demanding of him. Rudeus did say a bit more on why he let Norne sleep in the dorms despite not getting good grades "Aisha, If you wanted to go to school and live in the dorms I woud have let you, But if Norne wanted to skip school and help us with the house I woud not allowd it" Rudeus understand that both sisters are diferent and cannot be treated the same way but he wants to treat them Farelly fand dosn't care if Aisha is a half sister, both are his sisters. One thing Im really pussled by, they havnt explain TOKI jet, it shud have been explained by now, toki or "battle Aura" is a MAJOR factor in this world power system, like ki in dragon ball or the equivalent exchange in FMA so i don't really get why no one have explain it jet. thers a lot of stuff about the time Norn and Aisha spend in Millis with Grandma at the Latreya state, they are an important noble familly in Millis and grandma is a really strict and traditional Lady, Stubern and set in her ways and a devote follower of Millis, so you can imagine how horrible of a time they had at her house. their hatred twords Grandma is one of the few things both sisters can agree on.

The characters and the dialogue in this show is so well writen. I feel extremely bad for poor Norn... She feels absolutely alone in a far far away place away from her dad... with a brother she is terrified and lowkey hates since their first actual meeting he was beating the breaks off their dad... She has no knowledge of the whereabouts of her mother, not even if she is alive... She is an average kid having a sister thats probably a genius talking her down every chance she gets. Asked to go to live in the school dorms and she seems like she can't make any connections and she altho she is surrounded by so many kids she is just... alone. I get the feeling the concubine part that made Aisha cry is something Norn said out of spite. Ruijerd is already gone :( hope we gonna meet him again before the season ends.

Ruijerd participated, even though only slightly in the elimination of Laplace, which was the comander of all Demon Race in the Laplace War. Badigadi was a General in that war and answered directly to Laplace so this just normal war grudge. I dont remember them having any direct confrontation though

The complexity of the summoned object dictates the amount of matter transported in this world. in the books the water bottle they sumuned last episode caused an object to fly to the other side of the room... (if i remember right) it was only a short distance and a small object because the water bottle is basically composed by only plastic, and its an inanimate object with little molecular complexity. Nanahoshi "landed" at the epicenter of the explosion, and the size of the explosion which was equivalent to her complexity as a live human being.

Small spoiler because it's cut content from the light novel about their talk about Eris. He outright tells Rudy that she probably still loves him and that it's most likely that she wanted to get stronger for him, which is what she meant.

11:40 It's actually mentioned that Badigadi was part of a neutral party to Laplace during his war against humanity, while Ruijerd was originally on Laplace's side, so while they weren't directly opposed to each other, they didn't fully agree. It's also mentioned that after the defeat of Laplace, the human side signed a treaty with a demon king who wasn't allied with Laplace and led the moderate faction, and that was probably Badigadi, even though it doesn't mention it.

5:35 the guy is Perugius, one of the heroes that fought to kill Laplace, and Almanfi is one of his 12 familiars. In the LN, back when Rudeus first meets Ruijerd, he tells him that some guy named Almanfi showed up before the teleportation incident, and Ruijerd basically says something to the effect of "it must have been quite a big deal if even Perugius got involved." The anime also left out from Ruijerd's story in the same episode that after the cursed spears Laplace gave them were broken, Ruijerd went to get revenge and helped Dragon God Urupen, North God Kalman I, and Armored Dragon King Perugius to defeat Laplace. btw, the world of Mushoku Tensei is called the Six-Sided World. Describing the history of that would basically take a wholeass video, and AniNews actually did do one on it

The LN actually tells us where Eris is - she gets a chapter at the end of volume 9 (after Rudeus and Sylphy doing the deed, and before Rudeus tells Ariel he will marry Sylphy, which was actually in volume 10). People are speculating that we're going to get an OVA of her (a detailed character design sheet was leaked or something of a character that will be important to said OVA, though said character did already show up briefly in the last part of this season) after the season is over, like how we got one of her goblin slaying job after season 1.

Eris leaving wasn't about just not wanting to turn into a comcubine for the noble. Eris didn't want Eudeus to come. She wanted to train and become strong enough to stand side by side with him as equals, not needing to rely on him like she did before

Well there's a reason why they were so "fast" to arrive. First of all the mail took some time to arrive, by the time Rudeus got Paul's mail, they were already halfway on the way. Second of all, in the previous Nanahoshi episode there's a time skip. Rudeus did the first experiment a couple weeks after he got mail from Paul, then Nanahoshi broke down for at least a week, then it took them another week to get the co pound layered magical circle to work, something like that. I may have misremembered the exact time pass for that episode but there was quite some time passed by after Rudeus got mail from Paul.

Its a big difference in the anime from the light novel in the sense that the LN does give us semi regular updates on eris, whereas the anime has kind of omitted that completely. I expect there will be an OVA at some point to cover all of this because its definitely important content

so much good comes in this episode, from Ruijerd being the cool dad figure to Rudy and reassuring him to Rudy being the decent elder brother to both Norn and Aisha, the part where he pulls Aisha up for bullying Norn over her grades hits hard because it's how he was treated by his siblings and he doesn't want Norn to face the same thing. This stuff is so damn comfy it's annoying as it's just average family drama in a fantasy world and I love it for that.
