That last line in the clip pretty much summed up the reason people have turned against Marner: "For all the hopes wrapped up in hockey, the game also comes with physical danger." I see the dewy-eyed kid longing to play for his hometown still there, buried under the defensiveness and outright belligerence he displays to the media. But he's got to want it enough to take some rough stuff and hold his own. I damn well hope Berube can light a fire under his ass...for his own good, too. Good luck, bud.

60-goal scorer who doesn't rely on a slap shot. Yeah, I'd say this video aged well.

Paul Marner is definitely an asshole but Mitch turned out to be a good dude. Those overbearing hockey moms are the ones who raise rapists.

He weighs 215 and uses a 80 flex. Thats INCREDIBLY whippy for a guy that heavy and strong. Just like Bedard,,,thats why they both have insanely quick releases

You choose to let your kid have a childhood or be an abusive asshole to your kid so you can live your pathetic dreams as a hockey parent.

He doesn't lean on his stick to flex it. He opens his hips towards the target which creates rotational force to whip the stick.
@isaboteur25628 ай бұрын
Yea so does Bedard...but he kinda bends his knees, if u watch him practice off ice he can fire rockets without even stepping into it. I think that's what a lower flex comes into play.

What I learned from this video: hockey shot videos without extra slow mo at several cameras is time wasted.

As a father of 4 successful boy hockey players I knew early on it was all about and for them … I made it a point to always be friendly to other parents but during games I made it a point to watch by myself (their brothers included if they wanted) and enjoy the game … Good players know when they poorly and don’t need parents criticism … If they ask questions great .. if not .. yelling and swearing at them is the worst thing one can do !!!! Sometimes games or certain plays would be discussed several days later when they’ve come up with questions … The father in this video who was yelling at #87 and telling him he wished he hit other players when he new game was lost is a fool who never played hockey …
