how could you achieve the same thing in MA3? tried a few variations... no luck so far...
@joshgregoire

If you’re using recipes on MA3, you can use “Speed From Rate” and assign a speedmaster to the sequence. Then by using fade and delay in the recipe, you can move the speedmaster and it will move the rate proportional to the value assigned. So if you assign a CueFade value of 1 to the OffCue, it will fade 1 beat at 120bpm or .5 seconds.

@@joshgregoire thank you for the info. I was trying to assign the speedmaster and rate in the cues instead of the sequence. thanks for the help.

@@ChristianFloydLewis You can almost entirely stay in the sequence instead of in a phaser pool. I just programmed the last RezzMau5 show entirely with Universal Phasers that I kept in a pool.

Thanks Josh, I’m in a small market and we don’t see these often (a first for me) I wanted to just learn the basics as a local operator and this really helped. Show’s on Tuesday wish me luck.

Great work, try it out soon. Maybe you could add that it rerun the plugin if the bpm changes. All because we need te be lazy

You can have a chaser that runs in the background that has a linked speed to your desired BPM and that can run it constantly

Hi! Please, I’m trying to connect two Robin T1, through a Robo Spot and than to a Compulite Vector, is it possible? We want to control the spots as you do in the video but we can’t. How did you plug them? We started from the spot, than the Spikie Camera, to the Robo Spot and at the Console. If we unplug the console the Robo spot works well with both spot and camera but when we plug it they stop to working...please help us! Thanx.

Hey Josh! Was wondering if you can help me. Can you tell me what power cables the Robe Bmfl washbeam uses please? Just a little description. Thank you very much and loved your video. John from Costa Rica.

Instead of editing the default value in the fixture profile couldn't you create a *default all preset,* in which you'd store all your defaults.
@joshgregoire
@joshgregoire 5 жыл бұрын
Default presets work, but I tend to save all of my fixture profiles for every fixture I make and clone fixturetypes in shows so that the effect works whereever I go. I have about 200 fixtures stored in a layer than have the correct info in all of my preset so I can clone whenever and have the show work perfectly.

Hi there! TY for video but I have a question, how do i should patch fixtures in grandma2 to operate them when working with robospot? usually if I work with robospot i don't use desk. waiting for answer ASAP. TY

There's a profile on MA's fixture share that you can use, but to control it from the console requires an ethernet connection to the RoboSpot from the console using either gMA2 net, sACN, or Artnet protocols.

Nice trick! Might be possible to create a macro with a blind edit to make changes to the wings and groups tied to a temp fader with a "load"?
