Who the fuck is this guy? What is productive about acting so pretentious and entitled? If you "fucking hate guitar players", do you not "fucking hate" yourself? You said you don't have friends by choice but I find that hard to believe because you're such a dick about a topic you invest your time and life in. Either like a damn thing or don't, then move on.

Leaving aside the focus on the whiny, angst drenched artist, I couldn’t get over how someone shot this thing in a store literally filled with quality microphones and made the decision to use the built-in mic on the camera. The long scenes of James talking were pretty much unintelligible. All I caught was an occasional “F’ing this” and “like” that.
@Rogijimbex2 жыл бұрын
James the writer - perhaps a few more words in the vocabulary other than f..in this and f..in that & f..in awesome.. Really takes away from the perception of a person's IQ. Harder to take someone seriously when that's a large part of their expression. Nice voice but chord choices are just plain boring. I'm a big fan of Casino Guitars but this just didn't get it for me. The big fella appearing here was much more sophisticated and interesting. Would have been nice to introduce him.

@@BrandonOutside 🤣 it maybe be true. I've listened to the podcast and at twenty minutes in I was like wait the deep voices guy is Baxter? He just sounds so much different with a close mic podcast style, than in their regular videos. So the looks might be different. They also film in the small backroom, with a lot of lights,but with their camera, they have the brightness really very quite low. It doesn't look like how the room actually looks

Ugh, this James guy was a pretentious kid. What is he, 12 on the maturity scale and putting down other music while banging away in a 60's Dylan-esque mode of words that rhyme and have been used by troubadours for decades. It's not that it's bad, but it's no better, and he comes across like that's what he is. He might not mean it, but that's his air. As Baxter mentioned, I'll be one of those southern VA folks who come through if for nothing else to visit the store, but I won't make it a point to meet James should he still be there.

Maybe this guy shouldn’t think so much. I’m pretty sure he shouldn’t talk so much. Just pass or fail by your music. I remember when I was this pretentious. Great song but greyhound buses and the lost highway are more cliched than any AC/DC riff. Keep going, stop talking. Don’t worry, you’re almost good. Could be be great.

I'm tired of guitars because my dad is stupid and doesn't know how to play the guitar, he continues to play it anyway (about 3 years), puts on headphones and plays the guitar, imagines that he is good at it. It makes my ears bleed and yes I tried to put headphones and giant pillow on my ears so as not to hear him, that doesn't help my ears. We live in a cramped two-room apartment with 5 relatives so I don't have my own room MY OWN ROOM..................I prefer violin

Find a great local guitar tutor & get your dad some lessons, perhaps? The greatest guitarists on Earth were once terrible at some stage. I have been trying to find out how to get there. Where is the nearest airport?
@alleycatstudios3 жыл бұрын
Hey Kathryn! I'd recommend flying into RDU International airport. It's about a 75min drive to Southern Pines/Pinehurst. You can get an Uber at the airport which will probably run around $70ish depending. However, I'd recommend renting a car if you can because while the immediate downtowns of Southern Pines and Pinehurst are very walkable, if you want to go anywhere outside of that, the rideshare options are pretty limited. Hope you find a way there and enjoy your visit!! (Btw, Swank Coffee Shoppe in downtown Southern Pines is must visit ;) )
