it has to be done at night, showing no normal light, or you'll get shot. You can't be firing un-suppressed guns, or chopping trees or otherwise making noise, or you'll get shot. Load a mountain bicycle and walk beside of it. If the terrain is not too bad, you can tow a trailer behind the bike. carry only combat essential stuff. Amazon sells solid rubber bike tires and a spring clamp for mounting your silenced autorifle across the handle bars. SOME type of night vision can be had for a few hundred bucks. An "L" -shaped milsurp flashlight, with a red lense and a # of 1/8" wide black tape strips, kept pointed at the ground, is not noticable from 100m in wooded hills, or 1/4 mile in flat, open terrain. It CAN be done and you'll HAVE to do it. If you dont have a year's supply of food, scatter buried at your BOL, there's no point in going there, cause you'll just starve. The fish and game will all be gone in 2 months. The dogs and cats will all hve been eaten in another month. You'l have pre-buried some empty drums for the coconut oil, nut butters, seeds, spices, meds, that you're bringing with you when you bugout. Your part of the woods must be like any other, so nobody is motivated to stay around you. If some group DOES decide to hang-out where they endanger you, a few silenced, subsonic .22lr conversion unit in the AR branins at night, should be plenty to motivate them to move-on,. Give them a week or so before resorting to such extremes, tho. Getting rid of dead bodies is going to be a very big hassle post shtf, They will draw dogs, which will smell yuur food and you. If you dont bury them 4+ feet deep, the dogs will dig them up. Digging such a grave is a LOT of work and it leaves a lot of sign of your activity. Carrying the bodies risks diseases and moving them the 1+ mile needed will really suck. You'll have to do one at a time, with a travois, if you have no bicyce to lash the body onto Travois leaves tracks. Rigor mortis disappears after a day or 2 and a dead body is a limp dishrag pita to move. It draws flies and other bugs. It stinks to high heaven. You do NOT want to have to deal with such bs unless you are forced to do so.

Snake, get out there with THAT gear when it cools off a little more! Love to see it! I guess the reason you came across those Italian tent 1/2s is that they surrendered (mostly) before the peninsular campaign. We all know that the best Mil surplus comes from FR and Italy because it was drop forged during the war lol. Just kidding FR and Italy.

Some of the plants you're holding are poison hemlock. Poison hemlock has smooth stems. The flowers of poison hemlock are in a start-burst pattern. Like a firework. Which you are holding. Poison hemlock is missing a secondary three-prong pointy leaf circle underneath - surrounding the white flowerhead. True wild carrot flowers are not in a star-burst pattern. The flower heads are the shape of an inverted umbrella. They have hairy stems. They do not have purple specks or splotches on the stems. Wild carrot has three-prong green leaves in a circle, underneath each flowerhead. Some of the plants you're holding are poison hemlock. This plant will send you to the hospital, and possibly, the morgue. It is literal poison. That purple stem or purple splotches on the stems is a sure sign you've got poison hemlock. Not wild carrot. Wild carrot does not have purple stems. Do not make videos that will put people in the morgue. You need to research these things thoroughly, before trying to "teach" people. This video will put people in the morgue.

ordered one on the 2nd of sept got here on the third. set it up on the third. first thing wrong. part of the zipper material was moth / acid eaten away. no instructions with the tent on set up. improvements that should be made-- mid length stake out points on the floor and the lower back vent. also add a tie out half way up the back side to pull the side out. add a tie out point mid way on the bottom of the door. love the stakes it comes with, the metal triangle type. they are the only stake type i use. set it up with trekking poles. the surprise was the the short end. minimum trek pole height. suggestion pack 2 zippy bags & rubber bands if you do this set up, use the bags to cover your trek pole handles. got wait 2 days for some rain to come in for waterproof test.

For your particular situation to run both a handgun and a couple of spare 556 mags I would recommend a light chest rig with 3 AR pouches with flaps. One pouch for the handgun and the other two for the two spare 556 mags. You can add three or 4 more 556 mags to your pack to have a minimal fighting load. If you’re not wounded or dead on first contact you will burn through 2 -3 mags just to break contact. Don’t skimp on ammo. Drop legs are a nuisance, as they catch on every thing and can cause discomfort on your leg and chaffing. Extra pistol mags can go in your smock. A simple Chest rig like from Condor or other China knock off will give you plenty of ventilation ( overheating is a threat all year ) and it will make for an easy on off. I would not recommend a vest. I usually run an Alice like LBE, using m56 H suspenders and a condor gun belt with molle pouches attached to it, to carry both fighting load and more sustainment items. And I have a plate carrier as well, but I have used the simple three 556 mag pouch chest rig for years for vehicle and for permisive scouts. I don’t think you will be disappointed.

that camo paint scheme looked good, cool too, until the morning after. but, no plan is perfect. my exp is that sometimes camo paint, and leather dye washes out, or doesn't bind. For gear I don't use much paint for rattle can camo, and it is ok and lasts, but sometimes I break my rules and use a lot of paint to get it to the color intensity, when the orig color wont cover and it bleads thru. My biggest disappointments is with too much paint, turns to muddy muck and not natural looking. DIY on the cheap is ok, but never without compromises, failure, then going on to plan B.
