I always get stuck on the smallest details... I decommissioned a UCS domain that was running in intersight managed mode so I could deploy the whole thing in a new location. I unclaimed them in intersight and then erased the configs on both FI's. but when I went to deploy them I selected GUI config. In the documentation it isn't clear that GUI config is only for UCS Managed mode but that seems to be the case... I was trying to figure out where the "enter the management mode" prompt was during setup. I ended up having to erase config again and start over to use console configure mode... I was just trying to make it easier on a new guy and figured GUI mode would be the better option because he's not familiar with CLI.

Can you share any resources related to how you actually tied the parent work flow (os installation on multiple servers) to the child workflow (os installation for a single server) and what that looks like? I think the use-case is spot on, but I was bummed that all the details on how to actually set it up/create a workflow like that were glanced/skipped over.

Cisco is also dieing out, we had a huge pool of certed up Cisco gloaters, all terminated, hired 1 guy from india out of school for 48k to maintain. All the big guys got termed. Company saved 2 million anualy axing them. Now we see heavily certed net engineers only worth 45 to 52k. IT is finished. The good ol days are gone. Coding dead, everything under sr proj man, the salaries cratored, they can't even afford a studio apt. Its over.

Lmao we just retired 6 of these. They hated them so bad the datacore admin raged on site and vowed to never purchase nvidia products again. The AI stuff is 100% hype and will stay that way for at least another 10 years.

Is it also possible to do all that on just 3 X-Series blades? Not for a prod environment, but just for a proof of concept / showcase. So the added redundancy would've been nice to have but not mandatory for my requirements

Hello, I've done all of this without any issue, however, after completing ESXi setup and rebooting, it assigns itself the initiator IP address for management, although the management port is different and has DHCP, no worries, I changed IP and port, logged in, and there is no datastore, re-did every iSCSI thing inside ESXi (new vSW, vmk and port group) as well as software iSCSI, then disk is available again, but cannot create datastore as it needs to re-format it! of cource I cannot as it is OS disk, not a big porblem, attached another LUN and created new datastore, created VMs and life was good, till ESXi rebooted, and everything I did was gone. re-did all and again gone after reboot. What am I missing?

I have a question I think in IMM the SNMP work differently compared to UCSM From UCSM I have the SNMP configured at Domain level and it sends all the info of the blades, fabrics, ecc In IMM, the SNMP policy attached only to Domain Profiles only send the information of FIs Can you confirm me that if I need to send alarm regardings Servers, I have to attach the same policy directly to the Service Profile Template? (I tried it but I think it requires an in-band IP, I'm using Out-Band IP)

Really?? Just like that the FIs communicate with intersight?? nothing about the connectivity requirements to connect to intersight through FW or anything of value, it just happens magically right? What a clown show...
