Let me state something: Michael would never sale the catalog so for you to make it seem like he did tells me you did not do any research. You did some searching on google and made assumptions. Michael did not sell the catalog, his executives did and that was something MJ would never do. Michael own publishing rights, half of it, was sold to Sony in February, again, something MJ would never do. Michael was murdered because he did not want to sell his assets.

MJ in big trouble with the bankers now...and that's Sony's ticket!! MJ they say is $500mil in debt!! $20mil loan years ago...a $50mil loan...then MJ took out another big one...a $200 mil....and all these interests that comes along with this complicates it all. The Jacksons some where along this line they may have no choice but to give up one of those catalogs...and you know which one Sony is coming after.....stay tuned

Great video, NF has proven that drive, a passionate fanbase, and music that connects can take you to great places. If you see this, would you consider making a video talking about NF's metrics and where he stands compared to other artists of his generation? I've always been curious to see where he really stacks up.

2 million invested in an index of the s&p 500 over all these years would probably be worth more a good long term investment might have been better i mean 30 years just to get to the same money doesnt seem smart to me maybe im wrong but it seems like a bad deal but i know he will keep getting royalties but how much its gonna be less and less and be pennies 1.9 million over 30 years is 63,000 a year so maybe im wrong thats decent income to live off of if it stays that way

You are forgetting that Lion King will always get a boost in viewership whenever a new Disney film is released. Hell they made a live action lion king a few years ago and that definitely caused people to rewatch the original. Its a Disney classic and the most popular one to boot! Oh yeah I forgot, they are shooting another lion king with Beyonce's daughter as we speak lol.

We don’t know the specifics of the deal. But Jason said that he and his mom cried when they saw his first royalty check. They thought it was a mistake. So it is far to say that the deal was amazing for them.

That man has got to be turning in his grave... Sony seriously phucc'd up, but their time is comin'... Once Thriller was selling like crazy (because this, next to Off The Wall launched him into SUPER stardom), he knew the squeeze was gonna get put on him...but he was also a very shrewd businessman who didnt play when it came to his career...

Music festivals can be a significant source of income for artists. The exact amount earned varies based on factors such as the festival's size, the artist's popularity, and the terms of the contract. Headlining acts at major festivals like Coachella, Glastonbury, and Lollapalooza have reportedly earned millions of dollars in a single performance. However, smaller festivals may offer lower fees to lesser-known artists. Additionally, artists may earn additional income through merchandise sales, sponsorship deals, and VIP experiences offered by the festival organizers.

Guys think about that for a sec: The Lion King came out in 1994, the Vlad interview was in 2019! So by estimates $1.9 million in 2019 from the movie’s release in 1994 would peg him at $76,000 a year. That’s $6,000+ a month Disney pays him for life. And that’s just an estimated guess. 😮😮

He declined 2mil in 1994 which is equivalent to 4 mil dollars today, as of now, hes made 1.9 mil plus the 100k up front check, not a good deal if u ask me, although the idea was sound, the royality percentage was NOT.
@jedimojojojo16036 ай бұрын
I think it was a good deal. That 2 million would have been spent a long time ago. Then, what? Not only that, but he is still getting the checks.
