That is a common problem on clicker presses. See if you can blow it out with compressed air but most likely you will need to change it. They are rather delicate for something that is heavily used.
@ellieprice33962 ай бұрын
I hope you sell it but why call it a "hollow spindle lathe"? All engine lathes have hollow spindles.
@machman13032 ай бұрын
When they have larger spindle holes and chucks and both sides they are called "hollow spindle"

Too bad you don't have manners and common courtesy. If you were a interested buyer I could easily send you a picture if it is that important to see it. Just because you are hiding behind a computer does not mean it is okay to be rude.

When you removed the holder, how did you stop the hydraulic oil from coming out of the shear? Is there a valve somewhere that you can shut off? If so, would you know where it is located? Thanks for your help.
@machman130311 ай бұрын
I can't recall. I believe there is a valve at one end of the machine that shuts fluid to the whole rail.
@rythymsection733511 ай бұрын
First of all thank you for replying! I spent quite some time looking for a valve but no luck. I think I will have to remove the main hose that goes into the rail and cap it while I work on cylinders. Last question if I may, do you remember the exact sizes/model # of the O'Ring and the 2 lip seal?

I ran a lathe very similiar to that one in high school. Loved the carriage. The drive was a little different. It had four stepped spindles, top and bottom, that was belt driven. Real nice piece.
