Amazing how his 600 homer career was largely a what if....? They talk about Trout like that but he's not even to 400 home runs....Griffey really battled for years and still put up numbers

@fendertender1 absolutely, no doubt about it. I think he should have just stayed in Seattle his entire career, and stayed away from the NL and the Reds. Imagine what could have been if the Mariners held on to Griffey, A-rod, got Ichiro and also had guys like Edgar Martinez, Jay Buhner, Randy Johnson......probably would have won a world series in the early 2000's.

@giancarlog89 you've got to be shitting me dude...you obviously know nothing about the game of baseball if you're questioning Griffey's career...it was plagued by injuries, but in his prime, was one of the most FEARED (if not THE MOST feared) hitters in the game

@Reyrocksall 630 home runs, and he is injury plagued, he is our Mickey Mantle, only better. The reason we love him so much is because of how hard he played, but that's also why he was so beat up.

Catchers don't "have" to be right-handed, there's just never any left-handed catchers or infielders. On the other hand if 1.5 steps is the difference between safe & out, then left-handed batters get a slight advantage
