That Torrent double jump was exactly how I breached the wall, was it the intended method? Who cares, it worked. That axe is insane, both the regular swings and the Ash of War. Very satisfying to see you lightning torpedo into a crowd and then cleave a beefy enemy afterward.

My guess is that Miquella charmed Mohg after he got kidnapped, otherwise it would be weirdly contrived to embed yourself in the Haligtree for no reason if you were planning on getting kidnapped. And it is also antithetical to Miquella’s character to leave the Haligtree in a panic while they pursued Mohg. Essentially, Miquella charmed Mohg in self-defense and Mohg’s downfall was one of Mohg’s own doing.

The Shadow Keep alone might hold you lads busy for a couple of episodes😅 It’s one MEATY Dungeon

I love the weird stuff the DLC gives for builds. The Two-handed Sword talisman gives a damage boost to every variation of a light or heavy attack (every attack except weapon skills) while two-handing a weapon. It doesn't work with dual-wielding.

No spoilers ahead: - You've finally reached the Shadow Keep, a VERY big and convoluted dungeon (in a way your second hub xD) -> Make sure to explore every corner and path, you never know what you might find -> Also, make sure to finish every questline in there! - The room with the jar people looks more like a hospital (the Hornsent put the Shamans inside the jars, maybe Messmer wanted to do the opposite...)

Make sure you explore Rauh first before you fight the boss of Shadow Keep. And when you do, don’t summon. It’ll make something happen in the future.

The Shadow keep has a ton of environmental lore to it. From giant horned creatures being researched to the myriad of oddities hidden round the place. Kind of have to wonder what the purpose of it all was beyond the war with the hornsent.

So, i know im a _tad_ bit late to the party, but gael likely guided you, the player through dreg heap and the ringed city as a sort of insurance. As his soul states, he knew that the dark soul would likely drive him mad (and potentially also mutate him into the form we see in his fight) and he also knew that he would have to reunite the dark soul into one vessel, as it was split between the pigmy lords. And so, he planned to consume their blood to achieve it. The reason that he acts so bestial in his first phase is that he is endlessly striving for the goal of reuniting the dark soul, and he's gone crazy due to their blood having dried up, making his goal really bloody difficult. In phase two, he sees his blood and realizes that he's achieved his goal and hollows on the spot. The reason he goes back to fighting properly is because hollows end up being the purest form of the person they once were (if i remember the lore correctly). Basically he stops being normal insane and goes hollow insane. The reason you the player are there, is because he knows that, in order to extract the whole, completed dark soul, the vessel it was reassembled in would have to die, and have their blood extracted. Tldr, he brought you there specifically to kill him.

I used a luxury ball. It doesn't matter since it's a 100% catch. Also, there's still more to do ...
