It's exciting when new birds appear unexpectedly on your feeders and great that you managed to capture the Purple Finch on camera. Quite possibly there will be a female around also - easily mistaken for a female House Finch but larger and with distinctive markings. In my experience they are not so keen on nyjer seed, especially when offered in a mesh feeder, but they love sunflower seed (black oil and striped) and safflower seed.

when i was watching live, i noticed the window cam had a different prospective , i had assumed you moved it when i wasn't actively watching. but i see now it looks like to digitally zoomed in. oddly enough i noticed when you were counting, i was like "why do i hear counting?"

It’s… sorta digitally zoomed. The camera has a feature where you can somehow zoom in and reassign focus or something. It supposedly digitally shifts full resolution to a smaller area. The cameras I have frustrate me with regard to quality most days. But I can’t justify buying very expensive ones. Yet. :)

you should include BIRD BREEDS, as species are specific to geographical locations// that looks EASTERN US to me, treee types too a clue
