Good job! I plan on making a few of these for my yard as well as an 8 or 9' bigfoot statue with moving head. I may use some of these forms that you used, for the legs and to help support the trunk or main body area...

I love it. And will be using this method this October. Maybe to alleviate the arm vs the door issue, do the arms on a small piece of wood(similar to the base) and screw in from the inside of the tube.

Thanks for your great instructions! I figured out how I can use plastic coffee containers for the trunk, and then I’ll add character to it with newspapers and aluminum foil covered with masking tape. I’ll also shape the top of the tree with cardboard. Anytime I can find a way to use up some of my plastic containers I go for it.
