The problem with the talking heads is that they simply don't understand the Spurs. The Spurs don't want either Trae or Fox. Trae can't play D and probably won't take a backseat to Wemby. With what is going on in Sacramento, it looks like Fox is a drama magnet and RC and Pop don't want anything to do with that. Second, the Spurs firmly believe they have their PG of the future in Castle. I doubt the Spurs will do anything with Fox. They'll probably ask and if they can get a steal, they'll bite. There's no way they send Castle out in a trade for Fox.

I like Fox more than Young. They are both star-level players but, as you say, Fox is a better fit culturally. Also, Fox is a bit taller, and he is so smooth and graceful that he reminds me of Iceman (a shorter version) the way he moves. I'm old, almost 70, and I remember watching Gervin. I'm not saying they are exactly alike, I'm just saying that the way Fox moves and always finds a way to score reminds me of George. As for Devin, yes, I would trade him before I would trade Castle. I would not trade Castle at all. Even though we are still learning what Castle's potential is, and we already know what we have in Devin, I think we know enough about Castle to see how valuable he will be. His defense is better and, even though his scoring is not as good as Devin's, he is more athletic and I trust that his shot will develop.

I got Fox slightly over Trae as fox fits the culture & is a better defender then Trae. But I would give up Vassel over Castle

I think the core is Wemby, Sochan, Castle. I don't believe Vassell will ever be a consistent scorer and his defense is terrible. Castle takes pride in playing defense. All he has to do is put 500 shots a day mid range and 3 pointers

Trae Young is elite on offense and #1 in assists.. but will give you zero defense. Fox can give you some defense when he wants to and can be elite on offense too.

If you like a bit of basketball, you shouldn't touch Castle, he's the one with the best ball handling, he can easily penetrate defenses, a bit like Maxey. He'd be a bigger Parker. You've already got two pieces of the puzzle, so don't take him apart. He just needs to improve his shooting to average over 20 points, and he's comfortable on defense. As Barkley says, the Spurs need two guys in addition to Victor above 20 points to make it to the play-offs, and then look who'll get you to the NBA Finals.

Collins wasn't good but he were not as bad as usual... then the whole Spurs roster made points so that's a good game. Wemby played only 25 minutes but he led the team in points, rebounds, assists and blocks :-)

I really like Devin. He's athletic, seems to have that toughness. Just don't know what's going on with his shot, they're just not dropping, mids or 3's. He shoots very quick when he gets the ball, doesn't seem like he's looking to pass. I don't know if that's what they want from him everytime, just when he get the ball he shoots fast, like he isn't even looking at anyone else. I'm not giving up on him, but maybe put Castle or Julian back in the starting lineup, at least with Castle he'll get experience, lock down defense, and he can create his own shot. The spot was Devins when he was ready to come back, but now I think he's gotta earn that spot back. Also like to see more Sandro and Bassey. Collins play hard, he's alright, but I think the same about him, he was the backup, but now he's gotta earn that role. Let Sandro play, he's had great chemistry with Wemby, and Bassey is just a beast of defense and the boards. GSG!!!

I doubt that Luka Doncic will get the 65 games to stay in the MVP ladder (due to his recurrent injuries). This makes of Wemby a first all-nba team contender. Just amazing for a sophomore (and in a year with some many goats : Jokic (almost triple-double season), Giannis (61% shooting), Shaï (impossible to stop when he drives)) !!!
