The Norton Commando "S" type was my dream bike in the early 1970's. Charles Deane did a road test in The December '69 edition of Motorcycle Mechanics in the UK.

I bought one out of the crate back in the day. Also out ran a trooper once in my younger days. Miss that machine.

I think the original video stated it wrong and u show both apples are the same I got a re 650 continental. I don’t race my bike it hasn’t even been a year ,6500 miles daily driver to work an my tires are measured 3/32 left manual said replace if less than 2/32 it’s noticeable. Maybe it’s possible they’re shipping some of them with a cheap brand tire to save money. These are not Perrelli . The ceat zoom cruz . Strange, it’s possible the dealership hijacked my original tires and put these on. I’m going to try the perreli demon cruiser hopefully they last longer.

Absolutely beautiful bikes. I'm taken by the classic Special, but then think the matte finish of the Stone is cool and then the Stone Special kinda grabs me with that beautiful paint job.. ahhhh decisions....Yeh... the Special.. ✌

After 1972 the Honda CB750's drop in horsepower made it disappointing. Went from 72hp to 55hp. Just like cars became disappointing so motorcycles.

In Australia here. I have one in green. 1973 purchase. 62,000 KM's (38,000 original miles). Only had a new cam chain and tensioner replaced. Only ridden in dry fine conditions and yearly serviced for 51 years. Still has dry compression on all 4 cylinders @ 155PSI (New factory 170PSI) Most of these are lucky to exceed 100PSI.

I was a senior in high school when the CB-750 came out, and it was a seismic shift in the motorcycle world. If you were not around when it came out, I can assure you that it was immediately obvious that the motorcycle industry was at major turning point. You were either going to have to come out with a four cylinder bike, or you would be out of business. Triumph thought it could get by with the Trident triple, but as history shown, it was a bad gamble. Even after all of these years, the CB-750 is still a great motorcycle that I would prefer to have over most new over-styled sportbikes.

There should be a spring tensioned thumb screw under the throttle that is used to put friction on the throttle grip. If you loosen that thumb screw the throttle should return on its own.

Why do people always state their height. Height is irrelevant. It's all about the inseam. You can be 6-1 with short legs.
