Thank you. Having breathed in floristry foam when I unpacked it yesterday and ending up with a burn down my throat and into my lungs I have been looking for ways to dress my mantle without ever using foam again. This is perfect.

I went foraging last night, and was approached and verbally abused by a man with his dog walking past, hes in his 30s telling me to not cut anything, it's belongs to everyone and it kills the plants, as he knows he a horticultural person, he was very agressive towards me and intimidating with me, he wouldnt walk in, he stood there staring at me just feet away, i left without anything at that behaviour, it was in a public foodt path area growing...he literally scared me his behaviour was very off towards me, be careful out there, my husband said I should rang police there and then.

This was amazing thank you. I have never made anything like this before and the result was so professional and exactly what I wanted to create. I note how important it is to attach the new piece to the previous piece to create one long & strong garland. Or you’re in danger of picking it up at the end and it flopping all over the place. Thanks again!

This is by far the best tutorial - I kept on losing it so now I’ve found it again I’ve hopefully saved it to where I can find it as tomorrow my friend and myself are going to attempt your version, you’ve given a lot of helpful tips - thank you and I do hope I don’t lose you again😂😊🙀

Thank you for you kind comment and wonderful testimonial. I'd love to know how you get on. Have you found out how to save videos? They don't make it easy. This is what I do - click in the '3 dots' to the right of the video title beneath the video. Click on 'save' and 'watch later'. Then to find them, click on the main menu, the three horizontal bars on top left, and in there is 'watch later'. Hope that helps. You should also find it now in notifications since I have replied to your comment! Thank you again. Happy Christmas!

Fantastic idea! I really want to do it this year :) BUT: how to avoid conifer's sap on the table cloth?? Please help :)
@flowergrade Жыл бұрын
We don't tend to have that problem with sap at Christmas - sap rises and oozes out in the spring. Are you in a different part of the world to UK? Ideally avoid using conifer if it is an issue - you could lay cellophane beneath the arrangement but that would loose something in the naturalness. Have you got some other branches you can use that are stable when cut? Thank you for your lovely comment!

How are pine cones attached ?
@flowergrade Жыл бұрын
Hi, we use the same type of wire to secure pine cones to the wreath - the wire slots itself between the scales and you can tight it to the central stem that way, hidden from sight - tweest it around the back 😉

That was a really nice video. Really nicely explained. Do you think wire is much better than string. Do you reuse your wire?
@flowergrade2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for taking time to comment ♥️ wire will hold better than string and won’t stretch. We don’t re-use it, It will rust away in your compost rapidely too x

Neglecting your lawn has many benefits ♥️ including the generous amount of moss! Once raked, make sure you bag it up, a valuable product which will last x

Lovely, how long roughly would your garland last out of water? Thanks
@flowergrade2 жыл бұрын
It really depends on the materials you use (traditional english evergreens tend to be best cut close to the occasion). When we make a foraged garland, we store it outside (it will last many days on the grass). Make sure it’s not too soalked when you need it. Another trick is to put the garland on the lawn at night if you intend to use it for few days. Alternatively you can favour materials that will dry well, together with teasel and other dried beauties for a trully changing effect. Please be extremly cautious if you use candles amongst your foliage, most evergreens are quite oily and potentially very flammable !
