I drove to the east from California looking for our dream home. I'm here, right now in Greenville. Based on the California-like traffic, I believe that everyone is moving to Greenville. But not us. I'm trying to get away from the traffic. We visited Falls Park this morning. Nice move locking the public restrooms. I visited Greer yesterday, since my last name is Greer. Try finding a parking spot.

Nothing. I have done pretty much everything possibly known in Anderson, boring city but great quiet place to start a family. Get yourself a boat and go on the lake.

Good video. My family and I care nothing about "night life" in terms of partying. We do like concerts, movies, restaurants, museums, shopping, strolling in the evenings. The small towns we love in the Carolinas are New Bern NC and Aiken SC.

Yeah, this guy is a realtor. He will sell you anything. Beware of Greenville. Local government is dishonest, taxes are rising, and crime is out the top. The infrastructure and services have not been improved to deal with the overpopulation.

I moved to Greenville from Chicago in late 2022. I looked for 5 years for the area I wanted to retire to and Greenville checked all of the boxes for me. Cost of living, weather, restaurants, the downtown is incredibly beautiful, so many outdoor activities, great healthcare in Greenville. For those still looking take a real close look at this great city and you will fall in love with it. My only regret is I did not find it sooner.

Some of the first things you mentioned are very exaggerated and lacks reasonable context. As a Statistical Analyst and Relocation Specialist since 1985, as far as car "dependency", rail transit is the extremely economically inefficient into terms of tax dollars spent on initial/continual costs and riders per taxpayer ratio. For the money spent, very few people use. It's a horrible money pit. The reason that's the case is cars exponentially offer the most freedom of any mode of transportation. It's not even close. One can go anywhere they want, want time they want, no matter the location or distance. Transit, no matter how good, can never come close to offering that. That is why the overwhelming majority of citizens will not give up their cars, and it makes perfect sense. The reality of its true freedom compared to transit is undeniable. Too, at the end, at various parts of the video, you keep using metro area and city interchangeably. They're very different. You couldn't pay me to live in the CITY of Charlotte. I would never live in any large city. BUT, the Charlotte METRO AREA of about a 40 miles radius is an incredible area in which to live. There's a big difference. Not trying to be unkind, but I don't think the video is a very objective example of what the city or metro area of Charlotte is truly like.

Augusta, GA versus Aiken, S.C. I live on the outskirts of Augusta and have spent much time in Aiken, SC with my friends. Augusta was a great city at one time. However, Augusta is run by dems and has crime, high prices and other problems. Aiken is a super nice city, neat eating places, horse country but does not have the shopping as Augusta outskirts. Both have their advantages.

I Love Greenville so much. My wife and I are moving to Central SC from Virginia next year after I retire. We visited Greenville for the first time in March and I told my wife that we will be spending a lot of time here when we move. I even told her that Greenville is so beautiful that I couldn't believe it hadn't made some kind of best list and then I saw this and I wasn't surprised. I loved walking around downtown and we especially loved Falls Park.

Here in kershaw co we just put a zoning bill in place aiming directly at these subdivisions. Now you have to have at least a half of acre lot for a home. So now they cant pile them so near each other. And also no buiding in already dense areas.

Greenville is my hometown. Yes, there has always been many folks from the entire tri-state area of NYC in G'ville. The influx of folks from "up north" to G'ville has sort of been overlooked because of the larger cities of Atlanta and Charlotte. We've always has NY and NJ folks moving here from way back when I was in school and I'm an old man at 52.

Living in Greenville is wonderful. The interstates are very easy to get to. The traffic can be a little rough at times. The taxes are not that bad especially if you have moved here from a much larger city .
