I’m unfamiliar with Australian regs, but here is the not-so-great oilfield of west TX, TXDOT regs and USDOT regs specifically state that unless it is a special case, the overwidth vehicle gives right of way This is a big problem here, the shoulders are gone of most of our roads, so there is no room for anyone to go anywhere Oversize loads can be such a cluster

why not open the curtains on that empty trailer? that way the wind has less chance of getting hold of it, instead blowing clean through it...

Wow, what an intense video! You really captured the sheer grit and determination of these truckers navigating through such treacherous conditions. That being said, I can’t help but wonder if some of these hauls are just plain reckless. Is it worth risking lives for a delivery? Sometimes it feels like safety takes a backseat to deadlines.
@UltimateTruckersКүн бұрын
Thank you for your thoughtful comment! These truckers truly show incredible determination, but you’re right-safety should always come first. Balancing deadlines with responsible decisions is a tough part of the job, and it’s a constant challenge they face.

It's a shame that the diesel just disappeared when there was a leak in the tank, why wasn't it drained first to anticipate more diesel loss? If we were in Indonesia, there was a problem like that, the diesel would have been drained to a temporary storage place, so that not much diesel would be lost from the tank, it's understandable, here in my country, diesel is quite difficult to get, it doesn't mean there is no diesel, once there is at the gas station, even then the queue is also long and long, even though my country is the largest oil exporter, but its people have difficulty getting fuel, especially diesel. So here, if there is a case like in the video, we have quickly anticipated it so that not much diesel is wasted. But I also appreciate the rescue workers there, who are quick in dealing with situations like in the video. Peace be upon you from me in Indonesia
@UltimateTruckersКүн бұрын
Thanks for sharing your perspective from Indonesia. Draining the tank first is a great idea to prevent waste. Rescue teams often prioritize immediate action, but your suggestion is valuable. Appreciate your kind words about the workers!

Not sure why they didn't just take counterweight off while it was still on the trailer. He could've saved time by NOT unloading the excavator & having to load it back up again. Just saying

Good point! Removing the counterweight first might have saved time. Sometimes decisions are made in the moment, but your suggestion makes a lot of sense!

What about volvo fh 750 hp or scaina 780 hp we have volvo trucks and going strong we had freightliner agrossy with all different motors in the cat c15 was best ,the detriot ,also good cummins had more issues ..we def-fleeted the freightliner because of parts we running volvo and scaina trucks now .for us the cat c15 went 1,8 million km with no problem we just had to sell the trucks because of being old.
@UltimateTruckersКүн бұрын
Thanks for sharing! Volvo and Scania are solid choices, and 1.8 million km with a CAT C15 is impressive. It’s great to hear your fleet is running strong!

Reason I don’t watch these idiotic shows. Driver is concerned about $4000 rebuild and 4 days of not driving. REALLY?!?! Title says million dollar truck, he could live for a year if he didn’t get the waste of a paint job and saved some of that money. People like this discuss me. Oh, I think I’ll cry now because I could lose 10 thousand dollars with rebuild and not driving for four days, GET A LIFE!!!!!!!!!!! And EVEN, if it was 80 grand for new engine, again I say sell some of the paint off the truck!!!!!!

These newer computer controlled trucks today although nice looking are not worth the money I’ll take a mechanical BullDog Mack anytime
@UltimateTruckers5 күн бұрын
Those classic mechanical BullDog Macks are absolute workhorses and have a special place in many truckers' hearts. While the newer computer-controlled trucks offer modern conveniences, it’s hard to beat the reliability and simplicity of the old-school rigs. Do you still drive a Mack, or is it more of a dream truck for you now?
