If anyone else has this problem you need to kill all the archers before using igni in the corner it also helps build your adrenaline

yup it's the alternative sign. Just hold the sign button for alternative sign mode.

bandits usually don't drop very good weapon, but you can still sell the maces for money :). Try another castle location and see if it helps, just don't kill the boss so you can return for more loot.

What?..Geralt isn't a mage at all..plus I haven't read the books..but I'm sure OP mage like vilgefortz (along with some other) did acknowledge Geralt could have been a great mage and he wanted Geralt to be his apprentice.However,it's true sign build got buffed and alchemy build got nerf,which isn't accurate lorewise,but maybe they wanted to force player change their styles.

it's called enchantment. You can enchant swords and armor. You need to complete a quest first and then a NPC will unlock his shop in Novigrad. I forgot what quest, you can google it. Have fun!

To me at least it seems better to use the Griffin Armor if you wanna focus on signs anyways. This combo is still fun to use if you wanna mess around.

for me this armor when combine with yrden, aard does significantly more damage compare to griffin.

they NERFED piercing cold, it only does 30% extra damage and scales off of enemy health. It’s more of a crit chance than anything. The less health the enemy has the less chance piercing cold will Insta kill.

@@romanhorizon I don't really know where you found those informations, but from what I've seen, Piercing Cold was only nerfed in terms of insta-kill. Not damage. Now, Piercing Cold insta-kill rely on adrenaline points. You gain 10% chance per adrenaline points for a maximum of 30%. Also, the HP% scaling depends on the Shockwave ability + Sign Intensity. I've also tested this build myself, and I must say I'm really surprised ! It definetly works really well and does really high DMG, even against bosses. Against the Woodland Spirit, 2 Aard with Yrden bonus was practically 50% of his HP. (I'm not joking) Also, since some of the people wonder which mutation is the best between Piercing Cold and Magic Affinity for this build : Aard/Piercing Cold + Yrden bonus does the most amount of DMG. With Magic Affinity, Aard + Yrden bonus will deal a little less DMG but the other signs will be stronger.

@@mr_roadie I don’t doubt you at all. After I left that comment, I did some further research with a similar build you mentioned. There’s actually a lot of breathing room, even though I haven’t made my meta-build yet. The forgotten Wolven set is definitely my favourite for the status effect, emphasizing on the fact that I love using aard and yrden together. It’s like the dev team made this set with me in mind.

yeah the netflix armor makes Aard significantly more interesting. For igni there's a Rotation enchantment that kinda does the same as aard if you want to try.

You need high sign intensity so burn causes more damage. And you need to cast sign quickly, you can try without grandmaster griffin. Try to get these skills, combat: razor focus, general: rage management, adrenaline burst, griffin school techniques. This will let you cast sign using adrenaline.

Prob late, but mediate a few days, 5 atleast.

Sell everything to take all money from the merchant (0 left) then go out to main menu and log in again, i think this way is quicker than mediate for 5 days
