I found a huge container of the wild ginger keratin conditioning cream at Marshall's on clearance for $14. I bought it on a whim, never having heard of it. Holy moly! It's the middle of a very hot summer in NY, and the humidity has been brutal. My hair frizzes right from the root especially when my keratin treatment is growing out. I didn't need to use any smoothing cream or any sprays. This left my hair so soft. I'm not sure if I'd pay full price for it, but boy, did I get a bargain.

I’ve never been a fan of Paul Mitchell’s lightener and developer when I was attending Paul Mitchell: The School. Also, the toner was used incorrectly in the video. It should be applied to dry hair as opposed to damp, towel-dried hair. As a result, the toner will fade faster and the client will return to the salon much sooner.

What would be good for level 4 hair?

As a stylist I just would never give this style to a client even if they begged me.. it’s that awful raccoon hair style that makes my toes curl. I’d rather feather in a mix of high lights and low lights with a deep shadow root. Then add some layering into the cut to allow the tones to be dimensional. But this style it’s just never going to happen… it’s everything about the 90s I can’t stand. 😮
