I'm a local and can attest the places and items they choose are spot on. I enjoy going to Garage Bar when they have brunch. Everything on the menu is amazing and there are several local retail shops within within walking distance. Ollie's and Dizzy's are beloved by locals (lots of nostalgia), but my favorite burger is at a hole in the wall, Bambi Bar. It's got a perfect crust and flavor on the burger, and you can add any typical topping you like. Bambi Bar is where a lot of public crawls start, so plenty of not-yet-drunk entertainment. 😂 Hi Five donuts are amazing, but also consider Nord's bakery. The 2 specific donuts to get from Nords is their Caramel Bacon and Bavarian Cream. Alton Brown gets these when he's in town. There's also a nice coffee shop next door that I go to directly afterwards. For BBQ, hands down is Bully BBQ. Yelps top 100 restaurants in the USA last year. It's right outside of Louisville in Goshen, but their prices are cheap (makes up for the drive) and they don't cut corners on anything they make. EVERY item on the menu is delicious, but I highly recommend their ribs, greens, mac & cheese, fish and fresh cut fries, chili, or their Bully baked potato. For liquor drinks, do not miss touring Copper and Kings distillery, and their rooftop restaurant. Also, if you're into microbrews, my faves are 3rd Turn and High-Wire, but most in Louisville are pretty good. Feel free to reply back if you have questions. Happy to help. 😊

I hope they have more of the Crazy Coconut Rum Cake the next time I am there. I only got 1 and it didn't last until the next afternoon. The rum company and the sloths helped make this an awsome port stop. The monkeys will steal your eyebrows if they get a chance, but they were so cute. Didn't compare to the sloths though. The stray cats were charmers too

That's always subjective.. but there are OTHER good places to eat. On a side note .. Def need to come up and check out North County too. San Marcos, Carlsbad, Oceanside, Encinitas. Tons of good food there as well.

I felt the opposite. That while there are better spots, for people not from here, they actually hit a couple really good spots. How many people from out of town are gonna know about that Roberto's?
@radical80393 күн бұрын
@bennylevine387 I hear what you are saying but that Roberto's is just another taco shop, not a big deal...
@bennylevine3873 күн бұрын
@@radical8039 They had a 1 in 20 shot of landing at that specific Roberto's, which is the best one named that. And with there being 14 million total taco shops in SD County for two out of towners to be at one of the top five in the county is actually impressive.

The Great Hall in Harry Potter is actually based on Christ Church college in Oxford. Oxford is an amazing very cultural place that I can't recommend enough that you visit some day. It has a castle,beautiful gardens, great museums and its famous river that you can go boating on. It also around 30 minutes away from The Cotswolds, which is arguably the most beautiful place on Earth

As a bit of trivia you may not know, though Salisbury Plain is famous for Stonehenge, in that same area, Salisbury Plain has a huge section owned by the military. The UKs largest military training area is there. It's also got unique wildlife in that area with several things only really being able to exist due to the military vehicles essentially tilling the land, constantly driving around there. I have a video on the wildlife in that area. One of the worlds largest flying birds also inhabits the area, the Great Bustard "Wild Britain with Ray Mears - Series 3 Episode 4 - Salisbury Plain - 2013 HD"

The trio of little pies looks nice. I like variety in a meal. I'm from the North West of England and pies are a main stay in these parts. In my home town youd find easy atleast a dozen places offering some sort of pie within a 5 minute radius 😅 be it a bakery selling hot pies, or a pie stall on the market or butchers selling chilled pork pies 😋

This weekend I’ll be there 😅 writing your recommendations 😊 I’m going with my 78 mom, do you guys think the tours are friendly with people that walk slower?
@strangetravels3 ай бұрын
I think so, for Stonehenge you have plenty of time and you don't have to walk very much and with Windsor you are doing it at your own pace if you go in the castle. However, you don't have a ton of time at Windsor Castle (2 1/2 hours) which it takes about 10 minutes to walk from the bus to the castle.
