Matthew 16:13-17 “Who Do You Say That I Am?” The question of; Who is Jesus? Was asked and addressed by Jesus himself. The answer that he received and he accepted as the correct answer should also be accepted by all true Christians without argument, and without adding to or subtracting from it, the same answer that Jesus accepted . Matt.16:13-17 When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, “Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?”14 So they said, “Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” 15 He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”16 Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”17 Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven”. We learn from scripture by what it says, and sometimes we can also learn from scripture by what it does not say. When asked by our Savior, "But who do you say that I am?" Peter answered, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God," Jesus was pleased by Peter's answer. He did not correct him, neither did Jesus add to Peter's answer, instead Jesus praised him, and told Peter that his answer did not come from anyone's own personal opinion, but was divinely inspired by The Heavenly Father. So again, when Jesus asked Peter, "Who do you say that I am?" Did Peter give Jesus an incorrect answer? Or did Peter give Jesus only a partial answer to the question? Did Peter forget to mention something else? No, Peter's answer pleased Jesus because it was the perfectly true and correct answer, lacking nothing, and Jesus told Peter his answer to whom Jesus is, was inspired by The Heavenly Father. (John 20:31) But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name. (John 17:3) And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. So why then should we follow the traditions of men, and add to Peter's perfect answer? Jesus asked Peter "Who do you say that I am?" because our Savior wanted it recorded in scripture for all mankind, both present and future, to know who he really is! If we disagree with or add to Peter's correct answer to whom Jesus is, we are arguing with Jesus and we're also disagreeing with The Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ's God and Father. (John 20:17)Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God,and your God.(Eph.1:3) Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, 99 percent of Christians today would give a different answer as to who Jesus is,

You don't understand how Messiah is fully God and fully man because he isn't fully God and fully man. That is a man-made doctrine hatched by the Catholic Council of Chalcedon in AD451; The two natures of Christ is a doctrine that is supported by 0 "zero" bible verses, Jesus is (Fully man) period!................. Chalcedonian Creed (the Creed was adopted at the Council of Chalcedon in AD 451). Following, then, the holy Fathers, we all unanimously teach that our Lord Jesus Christ is to us One and the same Son, the Self-same Perfect in Godhead, the Self-same Perfect in Manhood; truly God and truly Man; the Self-same of a rational soul and body; co-essential with the Father according to the Godhead, the Self-same co-essential with us according to the Manhood; like us in all things, sin apart; before the ages begotten of the Father as to the Godhead, but in the last days, the Self-same, for us and for our salvation (born) of Mary the Virgin Theotokos as to the Manhood; One and the Same Christ, Son, Lord, Only-begotten; acknowledged in Two Natures unconfusedly, unchangeably, indivisibly, inseparably; the difference of the Natures being in no way removed because of the Union, but rather the properties of each Nature being preserved, and (both) concurring into One Person and One Hypostasis; not as though He were parted or divided into Two Persons, but One and the Self-same Son and Only-begotten God, Word, Lord, Jesus Christ; even as from the beginning the prophets have taught concerning Him, and as the Lord Jesus Christ Himself hath taught us, and as the Symbol of the Fathers hath handed down to us
