I genuinely didn't think their voices could keep that tone, and still be able to scream that high and forcefully, after the years since their inception. So cool to see how wrong I was. I guess it really just comes down to good technique and committing to taking care of your voice. I think that's what singers like Cedric Bixler Zavala failed at. Cedric still sounds great, especially with the new material from their self-titled, don't get me wrong. But he can't reach nearly as high as he used to.

Talked to Mike Ziegler (who recorded Live Leaves and plenty of other things) after the Olympia show last year and asked him which 2023 show was his favorite - he replied that the ones he'd seen had all been great, but San Francisco was where they had really heated up. I keep coming back to 4:16 and get the shivers. Hope the band asked you for this footage, it's excellent stuff.
