When you put the cocking rope on put the hooks tight to the rail. You don't want them sliding across the string. Causes unnecessary wear and it can cause a string failure
@Panchothings
@Panchothings Күн бұрын
Thank you for that. It took me a minute to figure out the best way to do that. So, now what I do to prevent the shift is. One, getting the hooks close to the rails and inside the string stopper / dampener. And keeping the tension even and the straight as I pull back. Now the hooks don’t move at all and it is easier to pull. Thanks for the info. It’s been a trial and error. As far a sting maintenance, nothing is happening but for general knowledge. How you know on bows and cross bows when the string needs to be replace? Besides the visual wear and tear is there a particular thing that will signal you that the string it’s on its way out?

Thanks for the concern. My gun at all times is on safety. Also, do to the camera being mounted in my head it seems that people are on the lane of sight of the gun but I assure you people are out of harms way. We are close but not on top of each other. Also my trigger finger it’s at all times of the trigger unless I’m shooting. As far as holding the gun towards the horizon I knew exactly where everyone was sitting, I was the first person on the field, so I got to map out where everyone was located. Didn’t sent a shot in no buddy’s direction cuz I really dislike getting peppered so I don’t do it to others. I’m extremely careful and take my gun extremely seriously. With go pros it’s hard sometimes to tell the distance, but I was really aware of the distance and what could happen in case of an accident. Thank you so much for commenting. Optimum choke performance is related to pellet size and hardness.
@Panchothings
@Panchothings 21 күн бұрын
That’s correct. The beautiful thing about these chokes is that they can run pretty much anything. Now I did found in previous videos more inconsistencies with steel vs bismuth. Logically the weight. Size relation on bismuth is something I’ll have to check on. So far I have used stacked 3” # 3/5. I would have to see what happens with maybe all #3. Being heavier that steel the shot size need it decrease vs steel. I use to do steel #2 and the thing that made me do the change was the cripples. Since the change I have seen improvement on that area due to the better penetration and some what better pattern density. I’ll have to play with other sizes and perhaps other metals and see what happens

@Panchothings assuming that you aimed dead center. It appears that your gun shoots high. Obviously the results of pellet count differ, however the vast majority of the pellets were high. Not sure what gun you are using. If it has anything to do with Benelli or Franchi it is a known issue of those guns with the POI being high.
@Panchothings

@@dondebrunner5595 ahhhh ok. Yeah indeed the benelli have a tendency to shoot high. No in previous videos I adjusted the dumb to have a 60/40 pattern where 60% of the shot should be higher and 40%lower. I did adjust the comb. Now sbe3 are seeing to shoot floating the birds and for me particularly is easier to do with a moving target vs a stationary. @Panchothings
@Panchothings 2 ай бұрын
So far it’s doing great. Runs well, start at the first or second pull from cold with the little choke. Warms up super fast. The only thing I notice is that after few uses the idle have some torque in it. I have adjusted the intake and cable but it seems that once everything gets sited stays like that, perfect for trolling fishing in my opinion. So, on the manual give you some what a breaking period of sorts. It’s kinda weird because the language can be confusing do to translation. So, it says that the first motor oil change should happen at the 10 hour mark. That’s the one I posted. As far as the gear oil it says that needs to be change at the 20 hours mark. Now, the only thing is that in the manual shows a draining valve for the lower part of the gear assembly, also shows a filling valve on the top side of the gear assembly. Mine only have the draining valve. The manual seems to be created for 2 different models but both have the 2 valves in the diagrams??? So, I got a draining and filling kit with a manual pump, so when the time comes I’ll fill it back up from the draining valve and see how that goes. That’s the only complain I have so far. The handle with the throttle could be little better but it does come with an extra throttle cable and selector assembly. The cable is literally the same used for bicycle breaks so relatively inexpensive. On and all it’s a simple little engine to get you from point a to b. It does put a 14 ft Jonboat with 2 adults and gear on plane. Not to bad for the price. What kind of watercraft you want to put the engine on?

@@Panchothings Thank you for taking the time to write this out for me. It's sure to save me time since I ordered one last night. ;) I have an old 1973 Lund S-16 that I picked up. I'm currently running a 56 lb thrust trolling motor on it which can get me up to about 4mph. I'm not in a hurry but 4mph sure does make a long day for some of the lakes up here. While I believe muller chokes are a cut above the rest of the competition there is good reasoning behind the patterning method all the little steps matter if this was a rifle zeroing in video nobody would question how you’re supposed to do it but people are so bought into the fudd lore of “just point and shoot it it’s a shotgun” When it comes to ballistics there’s so much that comes at play weight of projectile, energy transfer, harmonics, temperature, etc. everything’s relevant so your research it’s not as random as people think
@Panchothings
@Panchothings 2 ай бұрын
Indeed sir. This is how I see it, just my opinion. Pellets are way different than a proyectiles. We can determine trajectory and overall point of impact. If you want you can get an average of pellets on target in correlation with pellet count per shell, and then some. Now, 100% certainty that each pellet will hit the same exact point on target every single time it’s not achievable as one might get with a rifle. Variables like wind, elevation, movement and angle, will affect equally or more on shotgun shoot. Due to the dynamics of the shot presentation. That being said, putting shots in paper it’s extremely important more for duck hunters, thats a way to reduce the crippling of ducks and helps in the consistency. From the statistical point of view it is amazing to read the performance data from a shell in combination with a tube and load, is it necessary? in my humble opinion no. Is it cool to know it and might help you make a more educate decision on your shooting, possible but it won’t change the fact that if you shoot at a duck 30 yards out with a south wind blowing 20 miles an hour, pellet count won’t be as beneficial as knowing where the shot is heading and compensate the lead to counter arrest the wind. I’m not a professional, this is just an opinion. That being said, regardless of how you pattern, if you count pellets or not, if you use a steady surface or not, the fact that you are going the extra step to see what the shell is doing, will automatically increase your accuracy, improve your timing and help with the educated shot selection. The rest is preference in my opinion. Bow hunters have to have repetition to achieve consistency, same with long range shooters, it shouldn’t be any different with shotgun shooters, maybe less complex and tedious but a most. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 hope this make sense. I like this talks because you always learn from someone else different approaches, interesting stuff

Catfish have 3 big spines or stingers in the lateral fin and in the dorsal fin. Gettin stabbed by those spines is painful like no other. So, I saw the fish coming and started to anticipate the pain just in case.
