This beautiful song can be somewhat misleading and I’d like to clarify something. Jesus was a rebel against the prince of the power of the air (Satan), and not man. He came to save lost sinners from eternal destruction in the afterlife (every single one of us, even Paul the apostle), but not in the social-justice sense of the term “rebel.” God bless the listeners. 🍁

Prachtige nummers. Ik had wel eens van Thieu Sijbers gehoord, maar kende zijn liedjes niet. Afgelopen middag was ik op bezoek in St. Oedenrode bij iemand die ik had ontmoet op een korenfestival en hij draaide liedjes van van Thieu. Prachtige teksten. Mooi dat ze hier nog te beluisteren zijn, dank voor het plaatsen.

This hauntingly lovely song by Stivell is one of my favorites of his. I was in a coffee shop in Northampton Mass. in 1980 when this song bloomed from the sound system. I listened, raptly, and then walked over to the manager of the shop, who showed me the album and told me how he had come by it. To this day, it puts me in a trance.
