Гвозди делают из мягкого металла, который абсолютно не подходит для изготовления ножа. Так что этот нож бесполезен.

This is not the billet made out of nails. You could tell that it had air pockets, cracks and looked completely useless to be used as a knife. He got a leaf spring and made the knife out of that, thus no pattern. 👈

Turned out decent enough but if not showing pattern why not use a leaf for whole thing as you could have saved all the needless fluxing and such.

Is it my imagination or did that "Damascus"" billet turn into a leaf spring? Thus ,no acid dip because no pattern ?

He just skipped a step of flattening the nail billet. You can see the ones that didn't set right as it cools. The flat billet in the middle was probably leaf spring. This was like a sanmai construction, two pieces of soft steel with hardenable steel in the middle.

Любой клинок к острию тоньше чем у основания,хоть у меча,хоть у сабли-тут не увидел при изготовлении клинка.Китайская сабля дао,что пытались эти мастера сделать имела в основном овальную гарду и овальную пяту рукояти,рукоять имела оплётку или кожей или тесьмой.Не понимаю ,как в наше время ,когда есть море информации и образцов можно так делать!
