My keys to the game: 1. Recognize that Thursday Night Football is not real football and the only way to truly win is to exit the short week without any injuries. 2. Recognize that Thursday Night Football is not real football and, specifically for this week, no matter what happens we will still be in first place, so keep the confidence and momentum going into next week. 3. Recognize that Thursday Night Football is not real football and that this week is essentially another bye that sometimes the NFL assigns you a win and sometimes assigns you a loss at the end of, so we must take advantage of the extra prep time for next week.

Normally I would worry about Wilson after a performance like that, however, it was his first matchup against the Ravens and their secondary came alive against us when they’ve been lackluster all year. I agree with the Washington comments. Want to see more out of him cause I like him so much. I think this will boost some confidence and give them some things to look at and continue to clean up 😊
@nicholaspraetzel363227 күн бұрын
Well I think the Steelers read the comments on these videos because all of my keys hit. We held Lamar and Henry to a combined 111 yards rushing, the turnover battle was 3-1 in our favor, and we won time of possession 36:22 to 23:38. Steelers if you’re looking for a guy to give you a plan to victory my dms are open 😂😂😂 3:19

Fellas Wilson checked down to RBs and they got 1st dahns. Thats not a bad thing😂

Very true. I worry teams will adjust to that and they won’t be first downs any more when the playoffs come along.
@nicholaspraetzel363229 күн бұрын
Great show as always gentlemen! My three keys: Stop the run: keep Lamar and Henry under 150 rushing combined Win the turnover battle: I’d like to see no turnovers from our offense, we should have run away against the commanders but turnovers hurt us, let’s see some watt strip sacks or picks from our secondary Control the clock: if we can win time of possession with long drives ending in paydirt we keep the ball and the game in our hands and our offense Lamar’s “erotic passing” as Cody put it

I honestly don’t think Russ had good placement. He was bailed out on under throwing by Pickens and Muth. He got a pi that helped and then threw a bunch of lame ducks that were either wide open or bailed out by yac and good blocking.
@steelersbythelakeАй бұрын
@@nicholaspraetzel3632 which pass to Muth was underthrown? The one he caught in stride and took for 30 yards while never slowing down for it? Or the one he had to extend fully to catch in front of him?
@nicholaspraetzel3632Ай бұрын
@@steelersbythelake I believe it was the one he caught in stride, if I’m remember correctly it was behind him but he made a good grab and had great blocking downfield and a tough run that got the extra yards

A couple things….. 1. This was the worst roster the Steelers will face this season. Raiders were missing a lot of player due to injury 2. Justin Fields doesn’t see a lot of open receivers and that’s why Russel Wilson is starting
@steelersbythelakeАй бұрын
@@Steelcurtain3760 I mentioned both of your points on the show and couldn’t agree more. Justin Fields is going to the wrong direction with his accuracy and ability to see open receivers.

My keys to winning while you’re still discussing rosters. 1) clean offense-we gotta eliminate the offensive penalties and keep our offense on the field and marching- ideally no more than 2 2) we gotta stuff the run, Patrick Queen needs to shut down his old teammate(s) in JK Dobbins mostly and Gus Edward’s behind him- hold them under hopefully 100 rushing yards combined 3) let’s get in that end zone again- score at least one TD but hopefully more

Nick my fear is that this is more injury related than side of the field. He looks like he has no Strength in that right arm that has the heavy duty elbow brace on it. He might just need to rest and heal up. With Dylan Cook on the IR he’s the only backup tackle right now.

One thing that worried me was Spencer Anderson went low on a fourth and two. The defensive player then vaulted over him and grabbed Fields leg stuffing the qb sneak/dive. Hoping for some improvement on the line but they did alright especially for being a young group.

My keys to success (pausing during the intro to see if they match up after watching): 1: win the trenches, gotta get that run game going and give fields time under center 2: fields needs to not leave the pocket too soon, he has a tendency to miss reads and I’d love to see him develop as a passer in addition to his awesome legs 3: stifling defense, our Defense has been our strength for a long time but we need to keep that going to give the offense confidence and bail them out if necessary HERE WE GO STEELERS!
