Trent is right, this team deserves our support as Hawkeye fans. Despite my disappointment losing to Iowa State, this is a fun team to watch.

Payton Sandfort 1) wants to be a hero, and 2) does not care about losing. When your de facto leader wants to play hero ball and believes in moral victories at this level, the season is perfectly primed to be mediocre. Fran needs to make the hard decision to relegate Payton to a role.

Somehow the Bowl game means nothing to me.

I love Iowa mens basketball. I fell in love with a team that went 11-16(93-94). I was in the hospital there, and the only book I had was the media guide. I grew up ten minutes from iowa State University. Was bullied and teased for being a hawkeye fan. Now, hawkeye fans get on me. I don't care about Fran. I don't know what I want to say. But last night hurt when they were screaming Cyclone power in my face. And so many of you guys' solution is just fire fran. The Hawkeye women's team is so fun. You couldn't have picked a better person to come in following Clark. Lucy Olson is not only a great player, but her personality is such a great fit. Always smiling and having fun. It's impossible to not root for her.

Fuerbach has taken the Gabby Marshall role on this year's team. Gritty defense and streaky outside shooting.

I agree Iowa women will bounce back, but I just don't think we have the guard play to be strong with the ball against this Iowa State defense and the quickness of their guards, so I disagree with ya there, Trent. You put too much into championships and not enough into the traditions and pageantry of the bowl games. Winning and losing is only important when done with class and good tradition. Winning is NOT everything.

Seriously it would be better if he just retired he isn't getting us a national title he's not willing to go recruit the 5 star quarterbacks in his off season or running backs or receivers for that matter also is stuck in his stupid run first offence which doesn't work most of the time and we mostly lose our bowl games so the news that he's returning isn't encouraging to many of us fans he's had his chances for too long to bring us a national championship title and failed every single year he's been the head coach it's time for a change for the head coach position.
