Kirk is a stand up guy just like we’ve always known. Sure others do worse, but we got caught. Own it and move on.

Kirk can drive me nuts at times but he’s perfect for Iowa and such a solid caring human being. Fry rebuilt this program. Kirk took over and took it to another level. I really believe he will leave this program in a really good position for the next guy to come in and even take it to the next level.

Honestly would not have expected Ferentz’s program of all programs to be caught in a violation like this. Still, Ferentz did what honorable Head Coaches do: own up to the rule-breaking, apologize (primarily to the alumni and fans), take his punishment, and move forward for the sake of the program. This is the literal diametric opposite of how Harbaugh handled himself. He instead chose to continue to lie as if the desperate cheating scheme he’d implemented after getting his salary cut in half for under performance was news to him, then left town to evade responsibility, leaving the university, football program, and fans to bare the consequences of his fraudulence. To this day, his posture is: “I do NOT apologize.” The contrast between Head Coach Ferentz and Jimmy could not be greater. The former is a MAN and a true program steward; the latter is a shameless, dishonest, perpetual child who knows nothing about integrity. I genuinely pity the UMich fans (vast majority of whom didn’t even go to the school) who continue to fawn over a shameless cheater like Harbaugh.

KF’s comments are playing very well in the spots media. His accountability for this “mistake” is being contrasted with Harbaugh everywhere. KF is turning a tiny bit of adversity into an asset.

Not a fan of the Budmayer hire from the beginning, and he's done nothing to change my opinion. Kirk runs about as clean of a program as you can in this day and age. When he does do something wrong he acknowledges it and tries to move forward. I don't trust Michigan, and wouldn't be surprised at all if they're somehow involved in this situation. And don't even get me started on Proctor and Alabama. We'll weather this, and be stronger in the long run.

I love Yahya in his mic'd up video when he was doing a one-on-one drill with Luke Gaffney. They looked like a couple of grizzly bears going at it. I was thoroughly impressed with Gaffney. He held his own and showed his heart, going up against a man of that size and talent. Although I definitely think Gaffney looks heavier than his listed weight.
